For me i do not have any issues like that.

Nope its not a DIY, i got it done at a place called road runner in Coimbatore which is very famous for their body works. It was done couple of years back and still the mesh is as good as new.

as for fuel pressure regulator, i don't think i plan to squeeze any more performance out of this baby !! Let me know if it works out for you.
I was just wondering what an FPR can do to the car???? I am running 175/60 A539's. The car is much more stable on those.

hey bro wrc your cold intake kit is wrongly placed. It is placed right on top of the exhaust headers , this is really not going to help, with the filter sucking up just hot air. So all the improvement that you feel is mere MHP and nothing more change the position of the intake ASAP

Dude, if you could see, I have a A/C vent pipe going right across it.. So i was not able to fit it side ways. And talking about hot air, I didnt understand how would that be. if you see the filter, it is fixed right in front of the grill. So more are the chances of sucking air from the grill, than anywhere else. Also, As it looks in the picture, but the filter is way to high, than those headers..

Actually, there is enough space to accommodate a filter, even in with the PS fluid reservoir.

I ran this setup in my Santro for close to 2 years with no issues (the car was sold last year). Regarding sucking in of heat, it is very hard to avoid that in a small engine bay like the Santro's. I guess this kind of setup would be marginally better off than what you have currently. But if you haven't faced any issues, don't bother changing anything.

Frankly , in a car costing 3.5 Lacs , i do wonder the logic of installing another filter of the KN league. I owned a Santro for 9 Years and never felt the need for one ( driven on Mumbai -Pune express way , Cochin - Manglore-Goa- Mumbai, Cochin - Ooty) . IMO these cars are not meant as a performance cars.

Dude, How come a price of a car is related to car modification.
I have seen people who have modified M800 also. Its the passion to do, and in my opinion, it has nothing to do with car size or price.

Would you please give me the details like where you had these get fitted?

my santro for mods

hi friends,
1 month back i brought a secondhand hyundai santro LS for my college use. its in its standard condition now. all i did was some black tint, black paint for steel wheels and door pillars. i have a small scale ICE also installed which in future will be upgraded
ICE
sony vcd player(got it with the car. stupid in my opinion!)
12" pioneer subwoofer
6x9 pioneer oval 4way speakers
400 watts pioneer 4 channel amp

i dont know the model of any of these
but i will post the pics of ice also soon.
now am posting this to get some modification ideas from all team bhp guru's.
i know santro is a family car. but right now i have no other option but to get satisfied with santro and to do some mods. am happy with the overall performance of the car
what i need is a killer executive look for my car. i dont want extreme graphics or other stuffs. it should look descent at the same time as a guys stuff! am planning to get a 13/14'' alloys also.
am attaching the pic of the car in present condition, please comment on it. and if possible provide photoshop suggestions too.

PS: mods, i know that there are a lot of santro mods related threads in team bhp, but i found none to be active now. thats the reason for starting this new thread. please dont delete or move this thread as it will get unnoticed.
thanks in advance for fast response

Congrats on your car, There are many threads on Santro, but yeah they are lagging behind, have to search for them, lets hope more santro owners check in regularly so we can have more santro here.

mods i would suggest are:
1) 13" alloys with a gud set of shoes
2) front mesh grill
3) nice set of number plates
4) front fog: change to clear lens ones
5) change the indicator, parking, fog bulbs to the blue ones
6) install internally adjustable ORVM'S like the xing ones (most required)
