Ofcourse man. You can expect the steel wool to be changed if the engine is revved too much. And once you get happy with the sound, rev it till it gets unsettled again. Then, get it fixed and rev again till it gets unsettled again. Then......

I've got one coming soon!

But looking for a brake upgrade. And cant find any for Alto. So, thinking of fitting in Esteem Brake boosters. Will it do any trouble??

Experts! Please comment!

It seems you need to have a check on your engine and fast!

Hey speedzak,

I m just curious to know have you tried driving the car with A/C switched on. I mean is the performance better than a stock Alto with A/C and how is engine responding to the A/C load ?

AC was a pain on stock engine. But the stock K&N replacement filter was enough to solve that!
And after the latest mods, the AC is barely felt and even with the AC on, the car can do 40KMH on 1st gear, 80kmh on 2nd gear and 100-105kmh on third gear!

@zak: You can also look for speedo\tacho console of the Alto 1.1 as it had the tacho built in & hence you wont have anything peeping out of the dash. I believe its the same in the Wagon R too not sure though.

Prices have been posted earlier, Please read the rearlier posts.

K&N extreme by itself will make a big difference. But to fully use the potential from it, you have to get a freeflow!

I have'nt yet recorded a 0-100-0 on my car. But I think it's 12-14 seconds.

Ofcourse man! I dont do it everyday. Just when the a$$ gets hot a bit! Why do you want to close the windows and escape the beautiful, raspy sound the freeflow produces???

Sound for sure is a sweet one. (Ask MaxBHP, JKdas, V1p3r, Veyron1, Steeroid, Pyrocrypt, H.K etc.. and they'll explain). It's not very loud, but enough bass and sounds like a high revving one.

SZ - I think a timing of 0-100-0 in 12-14 seconds for an Alto is a bit optimistic. If you said that after the mods the car does 0-100 in 12-14 seconds that would be possible but 0-100-0 I would have my doubts.

Can you do a test for our general knowledge??

This would be mentioned in the user manual.

Oops! When I said 12-14 seconds, it was 0 to 100. And ofcourse, after the mods!

BTW, couldn't find the brake sizes in the manual.

Ok, I've decided to get Esteem's brake booster for all the brake lines.
For now, It'll do the job I think.
