Ok guys its been long since my last update here.
Ok, now its been
Forcibly
Inducted

Ok so i fibbed earlier..., So sue me!!
Well the story goes like this, When I modded my swift earlier, I never had the thought of getting it to move with Forced Induction or should I say abnormally aspirated (well i also never wanted to take part in the Speed Run)
Looking at other cars and the itch to keep on getting something done to the car got the better of me.
I spoke to a few friends who laughed and stated that whatever I said in the present, they knew I would be getting my car Turboed and not in the too distant future... I now think they knew
me better than myself. (ok guys so whats my favourite colour?)
Stop laughing and saying "I told you so", Psycho, Viper, Karan...!!
Anyways, speaking to a particular madman from Bengaluru, I was almost convinced by him to go the T/C way. I had also seen a T/C swift (Gemballa's) perform and then there was another one, Vikram_D's. Two cars running well reliably not that bad??!!
Opportunity struck when I was informed that a bolt on turbo kit was available. The deal was struck but as fate would have it, the kit got sold on the day I went to pick it up. Due to some miscommunication, the seller thought I didnt want it. It was disappointing but I take such things in my stride. The very next day I got another call informing me that there was one more such kit available. I took that as a sign. Even God wanted me to go the F.I. way. This time I was not going to be late so I leaped and after some inspection and about 1000 questions the deal was struck.(talk about opportunity knocking!!)
IN the meanwhile there was some buzz on the forum that I was getting something done. Im sorry guys I didnt reveal anything earlier, only because I wanted everything to work fine. There were minor hitches and gitches and finally everything is fine now.
The things a mover. Its 100+ bhp now and thats without a tune.
The boost needs to be bought down to 6 psi from currently, 10-12 psi. I know its a lot but the waste gates been set at 12psi. I need to readjust it to 6psi.
Driving Impressions:
For now, the turbo spools in at around 2800-3000 rpm so zipping it in traffic is great. Before someone asks me why it is set that way, well because the car redlines at around 6800-7000 rpm and i would get a ver narrow window if the boost was set to come in at 4000 rpm+. Also i dont want to redline it all the way on every gear for now. After final touches ill get it set at conditions suiting my driving.
Once the boost sets in, it just zips out of the reach of almost every car on the red light. Thats a great feeling. Then, the very audible blow off. As in my signature, PSSCCCHHH!!! and a loud one too.
Not wanting to push it till all tuned, am refraining from flooring it. That I will do someone mid week.
Thanks Karan, Psycho, Jiggy for helping me out on this one.
Now need some better brake pads and some guages, viz; boost, oil temp, AFR,...
Autometers are not so easily available locally and if they are, they are prohibitive. Is Autoguage really that bad?
Will give you details once the setting and tunings done. It needs ECU tuning too. All that happens midweek.
Then a full driving report, 0-60 timings and a dynograph. Also some pics. Hold your horses till then and wish me luck.
Im loving it!!
P.S.
Running a T-25 Garrett.
No price revelations as yet.
Please bear with me on this one guys!!
