i wanted another grill but never found a real good one, i am on the lookout for a nice grill and spoiler, if you could please post a pic of the grill i really dont remember how that grill looks.
Why dont you cut a grill and put in a mesh? Its a simple and fun DIY. You have quite a few threads for reference on the forum too.

PS : I did PM you regarding the engine but dint get your reply yet.

The tail lights are fine. The headlights I was talking about. Not to my taste. Whatever makes you happy man,

I ask coz like i posted before two of my automech mufflers have turned way too loud for daily drive,so i plan to replace them with magnaflow mufflers, however iam confused as to whther i should be buying muffler or a glasspack muffler..

here are the two basic classification listed....
1)Perforated stainless tube with packing.
2)Glasspack.

Here the main criteria is the car not being too loud...just a sporty sound.

What do u guys suggest?
should i replace the existing muffler with magnaflow muffler?Any feedbacks as to what it sounds like?I want to buy these coz they seem to be pretty well constructed and dont cost as much,so i guess they should last as long since the company claims to have a life time warranty on them.

Or do u guys suggest that i pick a muffler made from some tuner, again i dnt want to change my headers as i have no issues with them or the expansion, only issue is the muffler...

thanks guys

well let me tell you that the in the zen you cannot fit mufflers that can be used in hondas and esteems due to space constraints, see what ever you do, remus of magnaflow( usually their end cans are atleat 1 feet tall) or any brand watsoever when carbon settles it is gonna become louder for sure, well magnaflow and remus etc sound nice and sweet with engine 1500 cc +, my friend had a esteem which had a ffe exhaust from automech and had got a magnaflow endcan which cost him approx 3.5 k ( 3yrs ago) well the sound changed to a bit sweeter but eventually got louder, so who ever has told you that your sound will remain low by putting these brands does not know what hes talking about, or else tell him ill buy it drive it for 1000 kms and no sound then only ill pay and see his reaction, Nothing in todays world has a lifetime warranty, there is always some clause or the other, well if you dont want sound make the mouth of your end can smaller but that will reduce power, choice is upto you.

hope this helps,
Zeeshan

I saw this neat ZEN yesterday parked next to my house. Couldnt resist a pic.

Things I liked about this ZEN is, minimum JAZZ, nice lights (set of 4), real wide tyres on a steel rim, thin number plate.

I was wondering if wide tyres on steel rims are a good combination as they are hardly seen/used?

Doesn't seem to be too wide!

My zen has 155/65 michelin on steel rims ( Esteem's). Pic attached

tyres looks to be sticking out of the wheel wells...it looks to be broader!

Also the threads were uni-directional.

Also can we have wider tyres on steel rims?

It is advisable to have the width of rim proportionate to tyre width, otherwise tyre bulges out of the rim & doesn't give the right performance.

The OEM rim for ZEN is 4j, they have their limitations. So accomodating a bigger tyre on it would be a problem. Esteem's rim is 4.5 j & has the same PCD ( 114.3)as Zen's.

Michelin recommends 5j rim for even 155 size & a minimum of 4.5 j , see the link below:

Michelin India - XM1

While I have put esteem's steel rims in my car for 155/65, the performance will definitely improve if the same tyres are used on 5j rims.

Therefore, it is advisable to go for alloys if you want wider tyres say anything beyond 155.

Hey, we both have same shapes of the zen, i wanted one pair of crystal headlamps as well, but m afraid that to get the headlights of the new shape zen we would have to change the bonnet , front mudguards grill etc to get the new headlamps fiited onto our car which would cost quote a bit, after that the HID would work lovely, plus after doing this the car MAY not look nice with a different generation looking front and different back, so then many people would opt to change the read look as well, this process i suppose with NEW front and rear lights with 2nd hand body parts + paint should cost nothing less than 10k( min ) if u want a good job. i had searched in a few forums on t-bhp and found a few links to people as well who made custom headlights and tail lights, some guy in delhi actually made projectors for all cars like santro etc, he sent me pics of projectors made for a santro, somehow i was not happy with the finishing and hence didnt order it, cost was about 6.5k + light , so i have kept them OE design and instead smoked the tail lamps and indicator lamps,
i have original made in germany bosch HID installed in my car and trust me its lovely, i just put a new pair of headlights (OE) and installed the HID and trust me theyre lovelly, while driving on a dark road for a few seconds if you put off the light with another car next to you , then only you can make out what a huge difference it is, and its just something you need to have, i have tints on my front glass and still i can see the road very clearly, but yeah in these non crystal headlamps you will have one issue, that is the setting of the hid to fall onto the ground , i.e upper and dipper ka setting, that was a major issue for me as initially it never hit the road, always hit the tress and the sky coz these lights arent made for non crystal headlamps, but it can be sorted out .
