dude he already mentioned that an engine transplant is not possible due to the kerela state law hassels.
plan looks great. waiting for work to start.
IMO BMW alloys ( the multi spoke ones) wont look good on a contessa. this baby needs some chrome bling blings.

WHAT? 5L.buddy not to let you down but dont you think the price is too much for what you are planning? Well i am saying so coz with the v8 engine swap and all the reskinning my price is coming way lower than what you listed. i would atleast suggest you to recheck the costing with your fabricator.
Anyway i would be keen to see the work on your car. all the best buddy.

Could I have a reference picture of the BMW wheel that you're interested in installing? I'd like to have a look at it!

15" would be too big right? I've heard that 15" might tend to foul with the suspension (Geometry, camber, etc.) and the wheel wells. Am I right?

Yes.For a contessa, 15" are big enough. But,i had seen a previous thread contessa classic in which there was a trial and error done by the author and he had concluded that the best up grade to 15" will be a BMW rim and a 195/65/R15 tyre. In my case, i had even reduced the profile height as i had gone for 195/50/R15 and i beleive that there will be no problems.
for the photos i don't have them right now and the rims are already in a ship and sailing to india.I will post the pictures once it's received.

I don't think you will be able to source them instead what you could do is to cut small plexiglass pieces and replace the same and use coloured bulbs instead.

hi,
As i had already mentioned, i don't wish to change the classic look of the car and hence i planned to change my existing modified dash with the stock dash with my own mods. for this i brought the dash to qatar and sandblasted the structure and powder coated them with a corrozinc primer and a red color top coat which will be the color of the car body.also the meter pods and meter consoles were fabricated in aluminium and SS .the existing meters were fixed inside the new pods. the center tachometer was having a white dial and now i,m working to replace it with ablack luminiscent dial.all the ac bezels were made in aluminium and chromed
also the pu works in upholstery for the dash beedings will be done in India.please check out the attached photos.

Wow! The dash looks fantastic and the dials have a very classic 'Period' look to them! What kind of steering wheel are you looking to install? I recommend something with three aluminum spokes and drilled holes in the spokes! Something like this:

It would look smashing IMO!

Based on what I've seen here, the Conty looks smashing as a 2-door Mustang replica with racing stripes along the center.
