Hi,

I guess they should hae not seen them personally at night, I do know that the Sidewinder lights fitted with H.I.D's are really bright.

Swift LDI upgrades help

hello... my dream of going for a swift ()DI is becoming true soon.. As i could not get VDI(long waiting indeed), i had to settle for LDI. I am getting a silver one

I need your suggestions regarding these
Power windows: will go for 4 window autocop, costing around 12k(as most of the threads suggest). But question is how good it gels with the doors? Will it look like a cheap extra fittings, or will be as good as VDI?

cetral locking: Which one to go for and how much does it cost?

Wheel cap(decent one): how much it costs?

side mirrors: Planning to removed the company fitted one and get air of body coloured internal adj. mirrors. dont know how much it costs.

Sun films for all windows.

Black coloured A- and B-pillars: Want to have this, as it adds up the look. Not sure wat i can do for this.

Fog lamps: Should i go for coloured one? or one from maruti? I am having plans for lotta real night drives, show off is optional .

any other suggestion? I am happy to receive

@abouttoswift: Firstly, Congrats on your new ride.

About the accessories:

1) Power windows: Do not expect it to gel with the interiors as well as it does on a factory fitted vehicle. It does stand out. The ones I have (installed from the dealer) has a light grey shade which doesn't really match the door trim. But I'm not aware of alternatives.

2) Central locking: Would advice you to install the OEM Nippon which I assume the dealer would offer you. I'd got it installed for 5.9 K (but do ask around, you might get a better deal).

3) Wheel caps: Really don't feel it's worth buying a wheel cap and certainly not from Maruti (at their price). Would advice you to take your time and shod alloys instead, a much better investment in terms of value, performance & in the 'looks' department.

4) OSVRM: Not really sure why you want to get the stock mirrors changed . Btw, these are already internally adjustable (not electrical though, if that's what you're looking for)

5) Sun Film: There are loads of options headed by V Kool, 3M, Lumar, Garware. You can learn a lot more by searching through existing threads, which share a lot of information on sun films.

6) Black colored A & B Pillars: Let me know when you get it done (I'm waiting to get that done too). However, there are guys out here who've got it done, you'd just have to ask around.

7) Fog Lamps: Again, I think there's an Aumotive Lighting thread somewhere out here, which you might find useful.

Hope this helps in someway. Again, congrats and enjoy your ride.

Turbo kit for the Swift .

Wonder if this one would be a direct bolt on to our Swifts? It says recommended for M13A 2005 Swifts. We have the G-series of engines, don't we?

Nice ride. How much does the lighting cost you? Are they powerful enough? How complicated is the wiring?

you can get the front and rear lights for 17k from viper. The wiring shouldnt be too complicated and it would be much better than the stock lighting with hids.
