@Abhay - I have almost decided to switch, the only hurdle is my engine, its the Indonesian one & refinement levels are superior to the Indian made ones. No rattles despite the tacho hovering between 8-10K. This is one huge dilemma I am facing.
the bore kit and exhaust n ecu is just plug n play . surely any mechanic can put a new bore where you live

I would be getting somewhere around 80K (not less) for a mint R15 with all Yamaha accessory. I was offered approx 90K few months back as he was admant to buy either my bike or buy a new one.

My ereason for black were -
1 - Least Common
2 - Least Noticeable.
All my Motorcycles have been black. The only concern being compromised viability at night and its a bit prone to get scratches & show up.

If I buy the V2, it shall either be red/white or black.

They couldn't solve my steering cone set issue despite replacing whatever they wanted.

That's a great pricing for the bike.
Where in chennai can i get the glimpse of the V2?
What is the rough waiting period of this bike?
Iam 6ft, 90kg. Will this bike suit me ?
This won't be my everyday ride. Just for pure fun and passion of riding a yamaha sport bike.

Re: Spy Pics: Yamaha R15 REFRESH EDIT: Version 2.0 launched

Booked the bike. It was on display at Forum Mall, 3rd floor, Bangalore. Will take mine in Blue after an approx 45 day wait. The bike is Rs 1.08 L ex-sh and Rs1.27L OTR in BLR. The dealer however doesnt know the exact RTO charges since no bike has been registered yet but expects it to be around the above amount.

The bike looks great in flesh and if it performs as good as the older one, I think I will get my money's worth.

Question: Did any of the media houses or individuals do a proper road test of this bike? I cant find anything on the www.

I wanted to buy this in June but decided to wait for the rehashed version and I havent been disappointed. Hence booked it without a TD. Now only keeping my fingers crossed that performance hasnt gone down at all.. if it has got better then I promise not to complain

Quite tempted to get the new R15 and the good folks at the showroom are keeping a black & red/white for me to pick up as the first customer. Monday is the day BTW.

Oh wow! Congrats on the decision to pick up the new R15. So which color did you buy? Or is it a spur of the moment decision at the showroom?

Put up a ride report as soon as you lay your hands on it and also some good pics to go along with it!!

It might take a couple of more days folks as the guy who was supposed to get my bike hasn't turned up. Blamed it on earth-quake tremor & a bit of damage.

I am positive of going for one within a week. And yes, it might be a black bike again.

Managed to grab a test-ride and the feeling is almost the same. I am on cross-roads now. Not that willing to trade in for the V2 as I would be losing approx 40K and if I invest another 30K, I would be getting a 250. Err, weird mathematics, but that is the way it is.

Just as I said earlier, 40k is a big amount just for the new looks when the performance and feel is more or less the same. I would suggest to convert your current bike to the new R15 or send it to joel for minor tweeks.

That is too much of a botheration I believe. The only regret which I have is, I would have thought about the CBR a bit earlier.

Thanks Abhay Hope you get the new 15 soon.
