Makes sense Raghuram. Bike still feels like I can ride it to the end of the earth without a hitch, so I guess I will probably settle for some regular detailing right now and maybe go the whole hog once I really have some other work coming up. Thanks

Yezdi Roadking Electric start?

Help needed, I own a yezdi roadking, early 80's model. Couple of month back I had an accident and my left knee ligaments were torn.
I am looking for help to fit a electric starter for my RK. I know it is a difficult job but not impossible.
Appreciate your replies.

According to a friend of mine, there is a mechanic in Bangalore who has done this. His name is Aasaipillai also known as Rajamani. His contact number is 9900146250. His garage is behind the Suzuki showroom on the double road. Check with him for your requirements. Cost would be exorbitant though.

Re: Tribute to the Jawa Yezdi

We had restored our 1974 Jawa 3 years ago in Pune/Mumbai. Attached are the pics of the beauty when it got done.

its a pleasure to ride the 2 stroke engine. Have fond memories of the bike as it was our family ride since my childhood. Thanks to my father who took care of the bike so well all these years.

Let me wish you best of luck my friend, in trying to retrieve the documents. I failed miserably in trying to find not one, but two - running from Bangalore to KGF to Hunsur and where not trying to find it. I managed to find one but there was a hypothecation by a now defunct organisation and could never get an NOC. Finally, I gave up and sold both the bikes for purchase cost. If you manage to find clean documents, consider yourself very lucky.

Sir, if you know any leads during your search who could help me, let me know. Other than hypothecation, is there anything that I should check, just in case I find something.

Re: Tribute to the Jawa Yezdi

Can someone please suggest a store in Pune which stocks spares for Jawa/yezdi and more importantly, sells them at sensible prices?

I am planning to restore my yezdi D250 soon.

Would really appreciate inputs in this regard.

Re: Tribute to the Jawa Yezdi

Hi Guys,

I am looking to sell my 1979 Yezdi Model B. All papers are clear and the bike is based out of Mumbai. I would really like it if a BHPian is the next owner.

Sharing the link for the classified ad: https://classifieds.team-bhp.com/buy.../Model-B.html/

Mods: Please delete the post if it is against the rules, I posted since I see a lot of people asking for an available bike on this thread, and being a niche motorcycle, it might be difficult to come by.
