Hi Jimmy

I already have the quotation from them. Please refer above. For other available options, I am not too sure. 3M is the only option available.
If you are aware of any other economical options, please let me know.
By the way, another update that I have is that I intend to enroll with the Roadshakers, Pune. Are you also a member of the group?
Best regards,

Hi Majumdarda,

I will check, there was another cheaper option which was a DYI by one of our forum members for his car, let me locate that thread for you and share.

I am currently not a member of any riding group, will plan to join in sometime.

Jimmy

Re: Royal Enfield Bullet 500 : "Amun-Ra"

I placed the order for Cramster's magnetic tankbag. In fact got the motivation after reading through Ravi sir's inputs with regards to his thunderbird. Off course I have to make sure that some cloth is placed over the tank, before placing the bag. Time of placing the order is approximately 4 in the morning. Lets see when the same is delivered.

Re: Royal Enfield Bullet 500 : "Amun-Ra"

This time filled 10.01 litres of petrol into the tank. Though the capacity is 13 litres, but lets go slowly.
888 km covered in 20 days.
Going this way, the second servicing which is supposed to be at 3000km should be around December 12. Wild speculations, Isn't it? I am loving the daily rides.

Re: Royal Enfield Bullet 500 : "Amun-Ra"

Hurrah! I am now in the group of 1000 kms, on board with Amun-Ra

Royal Enfield Bullet 500 : "Amun-Ra"-img_5948__.jpg

With nice sunset beyond the trees to cheer me as silent spectator and remain the sole witness as I was enjoying this pristine moment

Royal Enfield Bullet 500 : "Amun-Ra"-img_5945__.jpg

And just before a couple of seconds, I was with you.

Royal Enfield Bullet 500 : "Amun-Ra"-img_5941__.jpg

Observations till date :-
  1. Ride has become more manegable. Amun_ra is more enjoyable these days.
  2. Short speed bursts, though are not advisable, but the temptation is immense. I can manage Amun-Ra more easily these days.
  3. Seat is comfortable for city rides (have not yet taken Amun-Ra for long rides).
  4. Lights and horn both declare their presence when required.

The only little hiccup that I am facing is finding the neutral. Sometimes I find it quite easily whereas at other times, I have to search for it. I would not term this as an issue, but is this a common observation with others as well?

Re: Royal Enfield Bullet 500 : "Amun-Ra"

The easiest trick with finding Neutral is to ease into neutral while in motion. No matter how slow you are, the movement of the wheels makes a difference.
Try it and see!

Best regards,
Hi Majumdarda,

that is one amazing job on the Bull. Congrats.

Was this the 3M finish or a DYI,can you please share details.

Also you mentioned "torquecurve and his colleagues" so more keen know where was this done and by whom.

I too spent sometime with my Bull on Sunday with a DYI using the below polish bought from a Shell Petrol Bunk.

I was reasonably happy with the results, didn't take photos, will do so next time.

Hi Jimmy_u

The work that I am talking about will take care of the slight scratches that invariably falls on the petrol tank. I have also used the polish that you have used, but it only gives a shine. Does not take care about the scratches etc.

PMed you his contact details.

Best regards,

Just PMed you his contact details. Off course even I was surprised by his craftsmanship. Honestly, at first I was really skeptical, but then after the three hours, I was just stunned.

[quote=Majumdarda;3274228]I placed the order for Cramster's magnetic tankbag.../QUOTE]

Received the tankbag yesterday afternoon in a small parcel format. Was not sure if that thing can be packed in such a compact manner.

Anyways, the overall look and finish seems to be good. I will update some pictures depicting them ( offcourse you all understand how possessive I am about my Amun-Ra and therefore would like to share all feelings with all of you)

This evening had went for a small ride on my Pulsar after attaching the tankbag with approximate 80% filled up. Bag remains sturdy at its position even after hard braking and there is no problem in taking turns.

Do not want to put the bag over Amun-Ra without some big piece of cloth, lest I spoil the hardwork of torquecurve.

I also got two stickers (token of advertisement )

Royal Enfield Bullet 500 : "Amun-Ra"-img_6111__.jpg

Chain and Buckle

Royal Enfield Bullet 500 : "Amun-Ra"-img_6069__.jpg

Royal Enfield Bullet 500 : "Amun-Ra"-img_6067__.jpg

Inside of the bag (looks can be deceiving)

Royal Enfield Bullet 500 : "Amun-Ra"-img_6105__.jpg

The four arms. In the top two arms, there are two round magnets placed inside each arm. For the bottom arms, there is only one in each. I am not too sure about the purpose the reflectors are supposed to serve, after they are mounted. Are they to remind fellow riders from the sideways ?

Thank you very much RoS for remembering your promise.

One thing is very clear from the images. The slight shade of green that it has, is never evident. Same is the case with mine as well. The apparent forest green is only visible from certain angles. But the amount of attention this color demands on road, is really impressive

By the way, between the two images, I think there was a major overhauling done before the second image was taken. I was actually matching the parts in both the pictures, but many things are changed and those which are present, have a different look. Also please can you advise what model was this? (Deluxe any chance) ?
