Looks like Bajaj still misses it's partnership with Kawasaki so much so that they launched the Dominar in Kawasaki colours.

Thanks Ashwin. Even my research on handlebars pointed me to Discover handlebar which is really tall.

The worry I have is, since Dominar is ABS, is the Brake host pipe same as the one available in Discover(Disc brake version) ? if it is not, then, i have to search for ABS version of Brake Host pipe.

1. Are the brake host pipe used for Dominar versus Discover (Or any other non ABS version ) the same ?
The reason I am asking this is, Below Diagram shows my assumption about the difference in brake setup in Non ABS Version and ABS Version.

Does the ABS Brake host pipe also has similar connection as NON ABS Version? Or is it connected to ECU or some other Control unit which controls the fluid Pressure? Can any one confirm please ?

Looks like the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 has hit the road? Found this posted on Powerdrift's Instagram.

The green makes it look like a Kawasaki from about 20 foot away

Anyways the Dominar 400 is sold as a Kawasaki in markets like the Philippines. They will be happier now!

Tall Indeed, funny thing is that its taller than the stock handlebar on my CT100B which in comparison requires a slightly forward lean.;

Me on the Stock CT100B;

Me on the P220 with D150F setup;

My back is perfectly straight, and my elbows relaxed on the P220.

The pillion seat supports the base of the back which wasn't expected at the time of conversion but takes riding comfort to the next level, since the Dominar also comes with split seats you can expect the same effect.

A brake line is a brake line.

Take a tape, measure length including the extra you'd need and get a suitable match.

Here's the ABS unit and concerning parts of the Dominar from the parts manual.

It is pretty straight forward, you'd only need to change the line from the MC to the ABS unit.

Cheers,
A.P.

Only thing left is the Pricing. I expect the price to be out by 1-2 weeks.

Power drift video is out. Dominar UG does seem like a complete product ironed out of all the niggles and issues. It is capable to do trips across the country in much better comfort now. Tempts me to change my decision of buying an Interceptor

Hi Ashwin,

can you please give the approximate height of the Discoverer handlebar from bottom to where it starts moving out and the final width of the bar.

I am planning to change the handlebar on my 15 year old Bajaj Eliminator and the major mods I am planning is the handlebar and shock absorbers.

cheers,
girish

re: Ridden: Bajaj Dominar 400

When is the new Dominar scheduled to be launched? What is the point on giving the updated version to media for review and then keeping silent about the launch date and price? Or am I missing something? Please enlighten me.

The Press has been given test rides. Only thing left is the Price announcement.

Could happen in the next few days. Can expect it to reach dealerships next.

I believe RE 650 is eating up the sub-500cc market, It will be interesting to see if upgrades will help the Dominar to retain its market share.

That's a wrong way to look at the market.

The 650 Twins cost around 3 Lakhs on Road... and the Dominar would cost around 2 Lakhs on road. There would be a difference of a Lakh between them.
