Seems JSP Honda from Kukatpally, Hyderabad, are a bit better than most of the Honda's. I visited thier showroom many times and I have been given test rides for whatever I asked (Activa, Stunner FI, Stunner, Aviator, Twister) without fail. There were brochures for each and every vehicle.

Today, I gave my Aviator for service and was surprized by their promptness in service. I was called to replace disc pads and got prompt message for delivery of the bike (delivered 1.5 hours before promised delivery time). All the problems have been taken care of well. The bike was not cleaned well, but I am okay with it.

Overall, good experience at JSP Honda. Minor repairs will be carried out all the time.

Based on my experience at Vihaan Honda, Thane I had written to the customer care of Honda through their website. Got a call from Vikas Kashyap of Honda, Pune regional office. Had a chat with and appraised him of the problems faced. He has assured that he is going to take up the issues posted by me with the dealer and will ensure that dealer gives a call for test ride and proper brochures. Will keep every one posted on the same.
I would request anyone who has/had some issues with Honda dealers to put their grievances on their website and let Honda people know that they need to discipline their dealer's attitude if they still want Honda Activa to be top selling model.

Disadvantages :
Fiber body
7bhp
102cc

Nice to know your issues are being addressed ghodlur...! I mean, atleast attempts are being made by Honda.

I may have posted this before, but when I asked about same day or next day delivery (it was a couple of days before Gudi Padwa last year and I wanted to buy it that day) on paying the full amount, the Honda guy's reaction was as if I had asked him to make me the Prime Minister in the next 20 minutes.

Hence I went for the next reasonable compromise, the HH Pleasure , with its Honda engine and instant delivery upon payment.

I agree that its puny, and may appear girlie to some, but hey, I am absolutely okay with whatever I got.

Tried to calculate its FE over the past week, and a rough estimate would be 35kpl.

@Ghodlur

Did you check out Sai Point located in the other part of the city? When I took the delivery of my Dio, there were brochures + TD available.

How is the TVS Wego's name pronounced?

Is it Way-go or We-go?

Any details about it's availability, I haven't seen any on the road yet.

These are pictures showing what the Dio looks like as sold in Japan by Honda :-

It doesn't look as funky as the older Dio sold in India. Also, the absence of the front mudguard is deplorable.

And this is a Yamaha Cygnus sold in Europe. It seems that TVS has 'borrowed' some of it's styling cues for the Wego (I almost believed it was a 100% Indian design).

I had checked at Sai Point but there were no brochures available for Activa. There were ones available for Dio but was not interested in Dio. Also the attitude of Sai Point guys was blowing me off. Maybe being the sole dealer for Honda in Thane & having a good order backlog had gone to their heads. Its good thing that Honda has got a second dealer in Thane.

Anybody has the accessory pricing for Honda Activa? Also wanted to know whether under body Anti rust needs to be done for Activa & what are the normal charges?

Hey guys,

Finally I have taken delivery of my Dio. Good delivery experience atleast It just struck me that the Dio doesn't have a reserve/on fuel cock. How do I know when the vehicle is in reserve? Just like cars? Low fuel? Is there any indicator?

The Dio has a Fuel gauge on the Console. Similar to a car. Fill up when it gets to Empty red indication

Thanks Sree. I realized that. The main reason I was asking for a signal apart from the Fuel Gauge is that my wife is going to ride it. Knowing the way the ladies ride their two wheelers/cars at home, I might not even get the last drop of fuel to reach the pump.

Just ensure you inform your wife to fill up or let you know as soon as the needle reaches the top half of the red indication. That way you will have upto a liter left to reach the pump and tank up!

Don't be discriminatory to anyone, least of all your wife.

BTW, Women drive better than most men.

My wife's not going to remember that for sure!

My bad, I should have clarified. I wanted to say "the way the ladies in my house" ride the vehicles. You know, the owners drive and the drivers only fill the petrol

PS: I didn't mean to be discriminatory to anyone in the fairer sex. In case I have offended anyone unintentitonallly, my heart-felt apologies.

PPS: no mein chalaun

I believe accessories prices are dealer specific (I might be wrong though). For e.g. the complete crash guard (or whatever they call for the complete set of steel guards around the vehicle) were for Rs 1800 at Pilot Honda.

Also Anti rust prices are dealer specific. For e.g. Antirust coating to silencer and stand is for Rs 300 whereas the complete antirust for the whole vehice is Rs 650 with a three year guarantee. All these are Pilot Honda prices and I wont be surprised if other dealers charge more/less.

Mumbai being near the sea, I believe we need to do under body antirust, hence I went for the complete one for Rs 650 on my wife's activa.
