Re: Nissan Evalia launched @ Rs. 8.49 - 9.99 Lakh (ex-Delhi)

But why is it showing as "Coming Soon" if the model has been launched? And the brochure and or any other links are not available as well.

Re: Nissan Evalia launched @ Rs. 8.49 - 9.99 Lakh (ex-Delhi)

Given Innova volumes are pretty static throughout the launch of these cars, and the distinct categories of vehicles difficult to see XUV or Duster as competition for Innova and vice versa.

Is the Duster or XUV buyer someone who considers Innova? I am not sure. Does the Innova buyer consider Duster or XUV, unlikely. The Innova buyer is looking to move 7 people in comfort.

The Ertiga would be an option for the occasional Urban 7 seater but sales figures of Innova suggest its not impacted, yet. Plus Innova gets a lot of commercial sales which puts it in its own category, and this is perhaps one place where it may be impacted bu the Evalia.

Re: Nissan Evalia : Official Review

Is this ex-showroom price applicable only to Delhi?
If I remember right, Micra (petrol) was priced the same all over India.

If the fully loaded variant costs 9.99L Rs all over India, that's an intelligent move. Many states charge higher road tax for cars exceeding 10L Rs.

Re: Nissan Evalia : Official Review

Definitely, good pricing. it falls in the price of "2.5 E PS 8 STR BS-IV" and "2.0 G 8 STR BS-IV" of innova which doesnt have the same feature. Since its a comfortable 8 seater, it should do well as cabs.

Re: Nissan Evalia launched @ Rs. 8.49 - 9.99 Lakh (ex-Delhi)

IMO, Evalia is the first serious competition to the Innova, the nearest one so far being the Xylo.

Duster is a 5 seater, Ertiga too small to be compared to the Innova and XUV not truly a MUV.

I like the looks of the Evalia(Am sure not everyone will subscribe to this thought). Nissan has not had a good outing in India so far. Nissan makes wonderful cars in the overseas market(The Altima is a very practical family car with oodles of space), but has not launched the right cars in India, IMO. Evalia should change the game for them.

Re: Nissan Evalia : Official Review

Nissan Evalia has been launced in the price bracket of Rs 8.49L to 9.99L, ex-Delhi and available in four trims. The Prices for each trims ex-Delhi is shown below.
Rs 8.49 lakh for XE
Rs 8.92 lakh for XE+
Rs 9.49 lakh for XL
Rs 9.99 lakh for XV ex-Delhi
IMO The design is very outrageous compared to the vehicles in these class, or even in any class. It looks like a grown up OMNI van or a Versa. It many fail to catch up good inital sale as the design is nothing to write about. But can eventually cath up if the performance is better.

The Tour operators can catch hold of this model as their favorite people mover. But this is a big gamble that Nissan has taken in the Indian market.

But as the old saying says... "Darr ke aage jeet hai !! " .. and time has to answer these questions.

I am not very optimistic about Nissan Evalia beating Innova anyway near. There will be a lot of things that will play here. Innova primarily is a passenger mover, long hauls as well as inter-city drops. Evalia might be able to carve out some customers for the intercity drop segment, but long haul innovas might still sell supreme. For Sure Evalia can be said as the nearest competition to Innova. Good competition is good sense for sure. Lets see how it turns out in future!

The Pricing is also a bit over the head for such designs. They should have put it a bit below the Ertiga initially and then tried to move it up if they are successful in meeting the numbers.

I think size is going to play a role here, as well as mileage. Mileage wise evalia wins hands down, I don't know about the space, I haven't seen an evalia in flesh yet. I wonder which among these two has more luggage space with all seats in position ? Evalia ?

Hey, isn't this the same NV200 that New York city selected as its new taxi? It even looks like one; what with that colored B-pillar.

The pricing looks good to me. Although they could have also taken a fight to the Ertiga if priced a little lesser than this. But overall looks like a good deal. Now we have to wait and watch if the customers really digest the looks of the car and the uncanny resemblance to Maruti Eeco and Omni in form of body structure.

Re: Nissan Evalia launched @ Rs. 8.49 - 9.99 Lakh (ex-Delhi)

Wonder which customers Nissan is targeting.

For a tour operator a 2.5 powered engine Innova still remains the best deal ,not sure whether evalia will be able to match up Innova's Superb Road stability on Highways.

For a family/Hotels looking for a vehicle to move around the city the Ertiga is the best option. Even look wise the ertiga is a better family vehicle

I can vouch for the pick up of Evalia. Last Sunday, we were in our Qualis and this green Evalia with all seats occupied just blew past us.
It seemed quite stable even at that speed. May be because it was full.

This one makes even an innova look like a handsome dude! Don't know of others but to me this vehicle looks strangely out of proportions from every external angle.
