Team-BHP - Ford EcoSport : Official Review

This is what Ford India's MD Mr Singh has to say:
"As you know, our shipments have begun and our dealers are accepting bookings as we speak.so, we see a very clear milestone in the launch of Ecosport."

I dont see any clarity whatsoever in so called "clear milestone" unless he is talking about clear strategy of Ford to keep the prospective customers in dark. I guess he too doesn't have any clue about the launch. This statement was made by him during visit of Ford's Global CEO Allan Mullaly to Chennai factory which will produce Ecosport. Here's the link:

Ford: Please launch the car or urban SUV or whatever. Otherwise you will remain that tortoise in Indian market who slowly and steadily lost the race while the Rabbit (read Duster) laughed all the way to the bank.

The light at the end of this long tunnel is in sight. The EcoSport dispatches to dealers has begun. Expect dealers to become even more greedy for booking amounts.

Yes Sir, I don't think they can keep their Global CEO hanging around the plant for 2 weeks. I expect the end of all the suspense by Friday, at the outermost. I just hope its not an anticlimax. I am seriously considering the AT.

Now Ford's global CEO is no mug when it comes to the Indian market. He was the one who identified India to be a key market for Ford, and he was also one of the vocal global CEO's when the Nano was launched. He sure knows the definition of 'affordable' in the India context please:. So it's all pointing to a launch which will be at sensible pricing. I am betting ( or is it hoping) that the ex-showroom price of the Diesel Titanium will be less than 10L, which means it should not exceed 11.5L OTR in Bangalore.:thumbs up

Dont know if this was shared earlier, TD cars have reached dealerships. TD should be available at most places from tomorrow. All Ford demo cars are getting some new branding stickers too. Most of the EcoSport TD cars are dressed in White :D

Are getting frustrated with the delay in launching this car, I started watching your Urban Discoveries. I must admit they were amazing. Really good. I spoke to the local dealer and was satisfied with their answer. Please come out with a suitable pricing so that I can own one.

White looked much better than mars red. It looked more classy while at the same time attractive too. The chrome inserts and the front end design goes well with white. Though I like the front end design, it is not to the taste of many. Their opinions would change if they see the diamond white.
