Couldnt take screenshot, i was bit in the hurry.
Can somebody confirm from ford official website.

I also noticed a 112HP Diesel engine DV5 which matches petrol engine specs.
Looks like a spec goofup on website

As per the list that Sumit has got from the Delhi dealership, ex showroom (Delhi) prices for Ford EcoSport would be as follows-
1.5 Petrol variant
1.5 Petrol Ambiente – 6.5 L
1.5 Petrol Trend – 7 L
1.5 Petrol Titanium Manual Transmission – 7.5 L
1.5 Petrol Titanium Automatic Transmission – 8.5 L
1.0 Petrol variant
1.0 Petrol Titanium Manual Transmission – 9.0 L
1.0 Petrol Titanium + Option – 9.75 L
1.5 Diesel variant
1.5 Diesel Ambiente – 8.5 L
1.5 Diesel Trend – 9 L
1.5 Diesel Titanium 9.5 L
1.5 Diesel Titanium + Option – 10 L

1.5L Ti-VCT is petrol 112bhp comes with front ventilated disc and rear drum brakes
1.5L DV5 91bhp comes with front ventilated disc and rear drum brakes

In addition to the VGT for the diesel, the list for the Titanium trim includes tinted glass. This is a good move considering film is gone.

Hope cops don't start harassing Ecosport owners.

Hard to believe those prices, there is so much difference in features between titanium and trend like airbags, keyless entry/start, alloys, Sync with 3.5 inch MFD etc and only a price difference of 50k

If that is true, i can hardly see any takers for Trend, Titanium would be pure VFM, if Trend is at 9L, according to me Titanium should have been around 9.9 unless Ford really wants to freak every one out with such a competitive pricing.

If this were true the petrol is correctly priced for me at least but the diesel seems to be off by 1L :D Isn't Diesel Variant = Petrol Variant + 1 L generally?

Ok seriously guys! Whats going on here?

Ford has listed AT with keyless entry and start stop button here: http://www.india.ford.com/suv/ecospo...ol-titanium-at

Someone please end this misery/mystery, already now!

i dont think theres going to be such a difference between the 1.5 MT Titanium version and the Ecoboost MT model. There will be hardly any takers for the ecoboost MT in such a case as customers would surely gravitate towards the 1.5 MT.

If the prices quoted are correct, I think only the 1.5 petrol seems to be priced correctly.

There is 2L difference between 1.5 petrol variants and corresponding 1.5 diesel variants, which is probably the highest difference between petrol and diesel variants in any car in the segment. Even the new Fiesta, which uses the same petrol/diesel engines has only about 1.16L price difference between petrol and diesel variants (comparing prices for Titaninum+ MT variants). Going by that, I think the diesel variant should've been price atleast 75K lower. It seems to me that Ford is using the Ecoboost engine in between 1.5P and 1.5D Ecosport variants to artificially inflate the prices of the diesel variant. However, the diesel pricing might yet work for Ford as it still significantly undercuts the Duster, which is also poorly equipped compared to the Ecosport.

The 1.5L premium for Ecoboost over 1.5P engine also seems

And ex showroom Bangalore would cross the magic 10L figure, so OTR would be close to 11.5L. Thats what ford calls aggressive pricing on a sub 4m vehicle. :uncontrol

Now petrol seems to be VFM.
Well Im waiting for the official release and then decide.

Its better to wait for the pricing to come out rather than speculate and analyse Fords strategies and decisions.

nobody seems to be buying electric blue ? blue doesnt go well with us Indians is it ?

In the Accessories tab, it says spare wheel cover is available in 2 colour options.

Golden silver and highlight silver.

Arent they not providing body coloured covers?

Yes. But the brochure indicates otherwise.

Look at the last two pages and the asterisk.

Cheers,

Someone please clarify. Doesn't the Ecosport come with ABS plus EBD?
