Congrats and welcome to the CLA club
I would have pick red over silver. But I guess white stands out the most.
Get them to also put in the velour carpet matting and the standard all weather mats also with a car cover.

I am taking the Petrol CKD version and its coming out to be around 33-34L, thanks mainly to the UK registration (5%) and 2.6L discount. Also, they've thrown in a decent Raymond Weil watch along with some nice headphones.

As for the color, I am leaning towards RED though its a contest with Silver. I feel red would standout more on this car than any other. Or is it too loud?! Am 31, so probably this would be the last chance I'd have owning this color except maybe a Ferrari when am 50

I would take the delivery next week and keep you guys posted. Cheers!

Congratulations. Go for the red one. Stands out and also has an AMG feel to it.

How many kms of engine run-in is recommended for the car? I really feel like putting the power down at times but refraining for now! :P.

Looks sweet !
I am running it in for the first 1000 km. No sports mode and *trying* not to use the kickdown.

Congratulations on your new Mercedes!

Recommended running-in period is 1,500 kms. During this period, you will need to avoid doing the following:

- driving at full throttle
- depressing the accelerator pedal beoynd the point of resistance (kickdown)
- dropping a gear manually for engine braking

Once your car crosses the 1,500 km mark, you can slowly start accelerating the car to higher speeds and higher revs.

Enjoy your new ride!

Re: Mercedes CLA-Class : Official Review

Hi Guys,

I have test driven both CLA and GLA 200 and have decided to go ahead with the white CLA 200. Just wanted some positive reinforcement from you folks, as almost everyone else in my family thinks that i should get the GLA just cause of its raised stance and higher ground clearance. Me on the other hand, I am in love with the CLA just because of the way it looks with the coupe like styling and frame-less doors. Its a big step up from my humble VW Vento and wanted a push from you guys to reinforce my choice.

I would any day choose a CLA over a GLA. You should buy some thing which your heart loves and not what is forced over by your relatives, you do not want to buy a GLA and then look at a white CLA in traffic with your mouth wide open .

If you have handled the Vento so far, you know how to handle a low slung sedan over bad roads. Just be careful over big potholes/speed breakers and you would be fine. CLA looks so much better than GLA and drives better too.

I upgraded to a 320D from Vento last month and have faced no issues regarding ground clearance, these low slung cars have some disadvantages but unless you move over extremely poor roads, go and get the CLA buddy.

CLA,CLA, between the two the CLA is the supermodel. GLA is only if you need the extra ground clearance. This is if you do those kind of roads often , which I very much doubt.
The CLA's 165 mm is not to bad for a sedan and should get you though most of our roads.
However I found the diesels on both very disappointing. Would root for the petrol any day. For a few lakhs more why don't you look at the new C, if budget permits? The on road price difference without any discounts in Bangalore is around 6-7 lakhs.

I am going to be upgrading my Vento soon as well. GLA comes nowhere close to the CLA. The CLA looks twice its worth. I am going to be in a dilemma between stretching the budget/need for a C, 3 series and a CLA. Go for the petrol as mentioned above as I have heard the diesel is very lethargic. That said could you please update us with the discounts/final on road price if you don't mind.

Re: Mercedes CLA-Class : Official Review

CLA 200 sports petrol OTR for Mumbai is 39.61 and this is going to increase by 2% from 1st Jan 2016. I went with Autohanger because they had white color car, Shaman was offering a better deal but only had silver and red color cars in stock which became the deal breaker.

And no rear AC vents in lower trim even for a 30+lakh car? That's something astonishing to talk about.
forget Lower trim. This car doesn't have Rear AC vents even for the CBU version. Im really surprised at this review car. Because i was offered the CBU car as well since I'm planning to buy this. The CBU car doesn't come with ACC and also Rear AC vent. How come the team bhp review has both?
