Honda is not bringing any new cars to Indian markers at anytime soon. They scrapped a lot of international models from India. Now they’re only dealing with City, Elevate and Amaze. Amaze being a sub 4 meter car with same 1.2 iVTEC engine is the only close replacement to Jazz (but this is a mid size sedan). They had plans to bring the Honda Vezel to India but considering the production cost, they have scrapped the idea according to the news and they produced the Elevate for Indian market.

I owned a Honda Jazz which was 2019 model. It was top end CVT version VX(O) (Exclusive edition - Came with black alloys, Black spoiler and Black Seat covers) at that time. The newer generation model came with the sunroof. After 5 long years use, without any damage to interior and exterior, I sold the car for 5.5 lakhs which was just 52000 kms driven. Was the price perfect for the kms driven and the years used ?

While I may not be in a position to comment on the price, I’m curious—what vehicle did you choose to replace your Jazz? More importantly, what prompted you to sell it after just six years and 50,000 km?

I own a 2019 Jazz VX CVT myself, and having been spoiled by its excellent ergonomics and spacious interior, I find it incredibly hard to identify a replacement that offers such a relaxed and comfortable driving experience

Like you’ve said, I too got spoiled by Jazz. Its comfort and space was superb in terms of most available at that time and now too. But, mileage was a problem as the petrol price in Kerala is almost 105-106. Jazz being a daily driver, used to travel close to 1500 kms a month and the meter shows an average of 13 kmpl which results in a petrol expense of 12-13k per month( Just quoting the fuel expense according to the fuel economy shown by the instrument console).

There was a huge confusion since Jazz left us about the replacement. Now the hatchback segment has very less cars compared to olden days, when hatchback segment was competitive. We test drove the Hyundai i20 and even thought it felt powerful, the space was a bit less compared to Jazz. Next, we drove the Sonet and almost booked it. It had a diesel automatic version, so thought it would be a better idea to shift towards mileage and economy. And we almost booked it.

Then came the MG Windsor EV. I was someone who thought, who would never buy an EV at anytime soon. But, my friends who already owned an EV started brainwashing me about how cheap it would be to own an EV and run down the city. For the city use, my friends told me it would be the best option. The size was another thing which kept me away for a bit of time as this was almost the size of Creta (more than 4 meter in length) and I was looking for a sub 4 m car. And, it got launched, test drove it. Felt a bit unpleasant coz it was the first ever EV which I drove. It will get sometime to get used to a EV, as you don’t feel the adrenaline rush. But, the space inside was what surprised me. It was damn spacious and feature loaded with enough power of 136 bhp. It has a decent range of 331 kms as company claimed but i am getting somewhere around 300 kms. Even, though the Windsor looks somewhere a bigger and bulkier version of Honda Jazz. Another thing, the boot is super huge. From a sub 4 meter hatchback to a 4.3 meter CUV was a big leap but I guess, I made a right choice according to my belief.

Re: Honda Jazz : Official Review

Hi guys!

Looking to replace my 1L+ KM run Swift Zdi with a 80k KM run 2015 Jazz V (MT).

Its a single owner car and is well maintained. I am planning to take a TD today or tomorrow. The ask is 4.25L - Does it seem fair?

PS: I intend to keep the car for max. 3 years.

The price appears to be on the higher side, especially considering it’s a 10-year-old mid-variant manual model. Be sure to check for signs of panel rust, a common issue in the City model it’s based on.

Thank you for your reply!

Took a TD and finalised the deal for 4.15L - paying difference amount of 75k, since I am exchanging my Swift for 3.40L

For a 80k+ run car, it is well maintained.

Single owner, and self driven across a very specific route over the years and serviced only at Honda service centre for the entire duration. it is actually smoother than my wife's 29k KM run Jazz ( This, is also a pre-loved car we bought in jan 25 ) !

Re: Honda Jazz : Official Review

Whereas Bombay has been seeing lots of rain albeit earlier than normal this year, it was that time of the year to renew the wipers.

After doing some research went for the Bosch

Attaching below for reference.

Quite satisfied with the performance.

Happy Monsoons.

Re: Honda Jazz : Official Review

My Jazz’s engine malfunction light turned on yesterday night. It just stays on . Checked fuel cap and it is tightly closed. Will the Honda ASS shows the OBD error code? Afraid they will try to get too many repairs done.

Any good independent Honda cars workshop in south Bangalore around Jayanagar/JP Nagar?

It’s best to have the car inspected at an authorised service centre. If they suggest replacing too many parts, it’s wise to back off and get a second opinion.
Don’t forget to click pictures of the error codes displayed and get back here
My approach with workshops is simple: I make it clear at the start that I won’t pay a penny unless the issue is actually resolved by opening or replacing parts. This usually deters service advisors who rely on guesswork.

You can check the TeamBHP directory for trusted garages in your area. You may also try Multibrand workshops like Mahindra first choice or Bosch
