Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Today a street dog was saved (unhurt too) due to fabulous braking of s-cross! It was really delightful moment for me.

Today morning while going to office a street dog was crossing road and shockingly by looking at car it just froze (unexpectedly) but thankfully car came to standstill just in time in commendable manner. Moreover this unexpected behaviour had increased some reaction time from me. Also for the first time I felt some force in brake paddle (akin to coming from a cogwheel)! Is this due to ABS activation ? Also this was the first emergency use of braking during 9000 kms run of my car.

I have installed mine almost 11 months back at the time of delivery. No problems with the drills. Spoiler just completes the look for scross

When I installed spoiler in August 2015, it costed me Rs 6000. Rs 4000 for the item + Rs 2000 for painting and fitment. @Bimal Bangalore

MGA are available at Nexa showrooms with a printed price list. No question of overcharging.
Secret Tip : dealers get 7% margin from Maruti.

Yes, this is ABS kicking in. Cog wheel/ pulsating feel on pedals is due to ABS in action.

I am getting it from Mandovi, Mangalore. I was quoted 8000 Rs 6 months back though. Now they confirmed that it's 5.5K.

Spoiler price would be same across all the dealers. But few dealers are charging extra for painting. I think the spoiler is priced around 4K.

Fantastic effort buddy.

Regarding the back pressure that you felt is the ABS kicking-in. Was it is a pulsating kind of feeling (read yours quick engaging and disengaging)?

Thanks. Yes it was pulsating kind of feel which is not felt in normal/ routine braking.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

I have installed illuminated door sills and Spoiler on my S-Cross today. Since the spoiler was already painted and kept ready, it took only 30 minutes to install. 6 holes were drilled. 4 on top of rear hatch lid and 2 inside the boot lid to install the spoiler. Illuminated door sills comes as a panel and replaced with stock panel. This is plug and play kit.

OEM Spoiler with Black paint : 5490 Rs ( 3990 + 1500)
Illuminated door sills : 3290 Rs

I also checked the Hertz Audio kit from Nexa. This consists of 4 Hertz speakers and a subwoofer with built in AMP. It costs around 20K. I was confused about it and decided to get it on a later date.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

There was a Nexa display at office today among others. Baleno and S-Cross 1.3 Zeta version was on display. I am told that 1.6 is now available only in the Alpha variant.

I liked the alloy wheel design of S-Cross now. Not sure if this has been posted earlier.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Engine mount broken. Update in FB. S-Cross sigma. From the engine bay picture, it seems DDiS200

Why six holes? Spoiler comes with 2 mounting bolts only. Right? I think it was 6 MM bolts.
