Hello fellas,
I want to repair some deep battle scars on my Deep forest coloured ScorpioN from my trip to Ladakh. These battle scars are deep scratches on the rear fender on the metal sheet and some on the plastic parts like ORVM and front bumper. I don't want to repaint the panels as suggested by the SA at MM SC.
I have sourced about 100ml factory paint from the MM service center. Now I wonder how to go about the DIY, as I don't have a spray gun.
Any suggestions or leads for a good paint touch-up shop in Faridabad or Delhi NCR.

For deep scratches we need to first fill, smoothen and then paint followed by clear coat.

My ScorpioN is now at 26k km. I faced a special engineering feature around 24 k km.

Dad complained that the AC was cooling too much. I suspected it had something to do with the in-cab temperature sensor. I tried to put it into full heat mode, yet cold air blew albeit in the Foot Mode. I checked the coolant levels. Lo & Behold! The coolant was dripping (small leaks) in the engine bay. It was raining so the engine didn't overheat at any given point of my time.

I booked the famous service on the weekend with a wait time of 3 days. I turned up at the chaotic service centre (something I have learned to ignore after owning the N). I waited past my appointment time for almost an hour before the SA had time for an appointment customer. I had half the mind to tell him "AC bahut thanda kar raha hai" as a complaint rather than "coolant leakage" just to see M&M's technical capabilities. But I didn't want to take the risk and leave it to the Tech team of M&M. SA did a quick job of looking into the bay and telling me a pressure test would reveal where the leaks were and it would take 5 days for the vehicle to be repaired. I even offered him myself as a helper technician if they were short on manpower. All the replacements would be done under warranty.

I met the Service head to tell him I have a daily running of 60 km a day and the total service cost for me would be 1000*4 working days = 4k bucks. So don't give me the logic that we are helping via warranty is good for me and the it is 0 cost to me.

Anyways! All work done & vehicle has been running well since I got back. (I think we should have a touchwood smiley or at least a Nimbu Mirchi Smiley)

2k km and the workhorse is running well!

Thank you for sharing. If I were in your place, I might not have even known it was a coolant leak and would have continued to dig deep into the AC unit. Good Troubleshooting skills, I must say.

Random observation: I was casually going through the initial reviews of the Scorpio N and I observed that the Scorpio N initially got request sensor on the co passanger door as well.

However my August-2024 manufactured Z8L doesn't get a request sensor on the co passanger door



Looks like this is also a feature omission along with MLD when Mahindra recently added auto-dimming IRVM, ventilated seats and a wireless charger at no extra cost

10 days back all my rear parking sensors failed, within 2 months of having 2 of them replaced for the same issue.
The ICE unit Apple CarPlay continues to be flaky even after multiple software updates.
The extended warranty is a must have on this vehicle. Never have any of my previous cars spent so much time in the service center.

You can add 2 Extra Reverse parking Sensors which we initial owners got to the list!
Although the updated RWD have become more VFM with all the additions without any price change, but the newer 4WDs have become less capable on account of missing MLD.

Hello all, my back problem has gotten much worse since I started driving the ScorpioN.
Am somewhat tall (6 ft) and thin, and am undergoing physiotherapy for a L3-L4 slipped disc, but any other car I drive is more comfortable than this one.
Any tips from the forum on whether others have observed the issue, and what has worked for them will be highly appreciated.

I had severe right knee pain during my Puri trip from BLR, i don't know if this was due to high seating position or something else, is yours the Manual version? because heavy clutch can also contribute to back pain.

Mine is the auto version. I also have knee pain, but that is a pre existing issue (albeit exacerbated by the car).

Does Z8 or Z8L offer cornering fog lights anymore? Mine being the first batch has it but I think I heard in later versions it was dropped?

I am not sure whether Scorpio-N ever came with Cornering Lights, neither the old brochures nor the newer ones contain any information about it.

Since yours is an automatic, doesn't seem to be the gearlever, clutch issue. The ScorpioN gearlever is kinda less ergonomically positioned than the older SCorpio.
Assuming the seat is height adjustable, have you positioned the seat high up or in its lowest position?

Read in the forum somewhere about BHPians using the old Safari/ Safari Storme suffering from slipped discs, backpains due to the high seating position and the horizontal movements putting more stress on the body. The doctors advised to use cars that had more sit in position than sit on position.

My Z8L D AT ScorpioN is March 24 manufactured and it has cornering fog lamps.
The fog lamps should be off so that when car turns left or right then respective fog lamp gets lit up.

My seat is usually in the highest position. Now it is set low as I am trying a seat cushion to alleviate the pain.

That is my fear as well. That the car is not suitable for me. Had mild back pains for the first few months which went away, but then the issue flared up with a vengeance this April.
