Awesome work! I have been looking for a similar stock setup for my SCORPIO N, and you are right about the poor throw of its headlights. They work well in the city and on highways, but their performance is lacking at high speeds. Could you share more details about the wiring and light installation? Are you using coupler connections, or is it an entirely different wiring harness for your setup? And also, please provide some link or web site for those LEDs

I have a dedicated relay and the power is tapped from the fuse box. I have 2 independant switches one for turning on the lights and second for toggling between the low beam and the high beam. From what I was told by the installer, no stock wiring has been touched but i have not validated them personally as it was a 1 full day activity.

I bought the product through a friend of mine who bought it from a dealer in Delhi. You can google this product and there are multiple online stores which sells the product.

Hi, As i had informed in my post, this fog will be used only in the 4 lane highways where i frequently travel. Having said that, these lights have a clean cutoff and does not scatter a lot and lot less intrusive to the oncoming traffic.

It looks like Mahindra have added a middle 3-point seatbelt for 7-seater versions. And "proper" rear seatbelt reminders with occupant detection.

But i couldn't find one for 7OO based on my search. Maybe because the lower grill position is too low and narrow to accommodate a 3 inch fog housing. But am sure there will be a solution. Happy hunting.

I have a query for the Scorpio N owners, regarding its ride quality on the uneven concrete highways. I currently drive a 2019 Creta 1.6 diesel manual, wanted to get an automatic, booked the Thar Roxx, after taking a test drive 3-4 km on a smooth tarmac road, the dealer would allow that much only, but yesterday only I got a chance to drive it for a considerable distance on a concrete highway, and I found it too bouncy to be comfortable compared to my 6 year old Creta, so much that I am going to cancel the booking, the driver seat comfort is also poor.
I have also taken the test drive of Scorpio N, but only on smooth tarmac road, my question is whether Scorpio N behaves the same way as the Thar Roxx, on the uneven concrete roads, or worse as suggested by youtuber Ravi of DDS fame, at 13:50min onwards

You cannot compare the comfort of a unibody (Creta) with a body on frame vehicle (Scorpio N, Roxx).

The unibodies will always be more comfortable everywhere except when off-roading. But what you give up in comfort, you gain in road presence, looks and go anywhere abilities.

If you want the comfort of Creta but want something bigger, XUV700 might be a better fit for you than ROXX or ScorpioN.

Scorpio-N and the Thar Roxx are built on similar platforms, the Thar Roxx is built on a modified Scorpio-N platform, to be precise. Moreover they are Body on Frame SUVs unlike monocoque construction of the Creta, XUV7OO etc, so naturally the feeling and ride quality on roads wouldn't be as good on BOF vehicles as compared to monocoque vehicles, where BOF excels is on poor roads, no roads or off-road, whereas monocoque is better suited for good roads, highways and the like.

So, considering your requirement, I suppose you are not into too much off-roading, so a monocoque SUV like an XUV7OO would be a better fit for your purpose.

Thanks punjabitiger and yedukrishnan199, for your suggestion, my driving is mostly on the highway only, so most likely will be opting for the XUV7OO. My cousin has recently purchased an XUV7OO AX7L diesel automatic, his previous car was the exact same Creta model, but with a petrol engine, he has been singing praises for it since then. He has been trying to convince me to go for the XUV, but I just wanted to get a proper SUV, with go anywhere capability, but after experiencing the highway drive of the Thar Roxx, my opinion changed.
I have taken the present Creta, also the previous cars including Ford Ecosport, Swift Dzire, Swift, the Zen and the good old Maruti 800, all front wheel driven, to the hills of Himachal, Uttarakhand, sandy tracks in Rajasthan(not sand dunes), sometimes slush of some under construction highways, none of these was ever stuck, and I never felt the need for a 4x4, albeit taking care to not to exceed the vehicle’s limits. As I usually go on long highway trips with family, comfort is one of the most important criteria, XUV7OO is going to be my next vehicle, may consider AWD.

I'll suggest the Diesel AX7 AWD D AT 7OO then.
It's picture perfect at <25L ex-showrooom as long as you purchase before 31st March.

If an AWD in the 7OO cannot get you out of a mess, then a creta sure as hell cannot!
I'll also suggest a tow/snatch strap or similar for those 1 in a 100 situations. Dr Nano has some really affordable options.

You've hit the nail on the head, there is no vehicle in this segment which offers you the convenience and comfort of a monocoque SUV with the added convenience of AWD like the XUV7OO, it exactly suits your use case, and can handle light offroading should the need arise.

We have one in the family too, and it is one of the more capable vehicles in the segment,t which is comfortable and offers the ability to explore trails and mildly challenging roads.

The only other vehicle which I can think of with such a characteristic is the Jeep Compass 4x4 AT for 5 5-seater, but it is a smaller vehicle and much costlier too and further on the options (Hilux, Meridian, V-Cross, Tucson, MU-X, Gloster, Fortuner) become more and more expensive and are mostly body on Frame vehicles too apart from the Meridian and the Tucson.

So the XUV7OO seems to be the perfect match! Do try to get one with the current offers going on too.

Before taking my Mahindra Scorpio N Z8L D AT for its first service, I wanted to share an update about the vehicle and my experience with the dealership. I would appreciate any advice or encouragement from fellow owners.

In the three weeks I've owned the vehicle, I've been thrilled with the engine performance. The transition from a Seltos GTX+ Petrol AT to the Scorpio N hasn't compromised on ride quality; the car feels strong and comfortable. However, I miss the quality of the interiors, software reliability, and attentive service from the dealer compared to my previous car.

Likes :

• The vehicle handles smoothly, making it easy to maneuver in the city.
• There's ample space with comfortable seating and sufficient legroom.
• The air conditioning performs well.
• The SONY speakers are satisfactory (previously had Bose).
• Button controls instead of a larger touchscreen.
• Driver seat adjustments are excellent for people with average height.
• The car feels robust on rough terrain.

Dislikes :

• A vibration sound from the dashboard on the driver's side persists since day one, noticeable immediately after a cold start, stopping with slight acceleration but returning while idling.
• Intermittent crack sounds from the speakers.
• Hazard lights sometimes turn on while braking.
• Noisy reverse gear.
• The rear wiper doesn't cover enough surface area.
• Random sensor warnings that disappear after restarting.
• No trip-specific fuel efficiency tracking.
• Slow responses to touch commands.

During my visit to the service center, I was disappointed by the laid-back attitude of the dealer and executives. They seemed uninformed about these issues and uninterested in communicating effectively.

I don't want to be judgemental too early, have seen some other owners mentioning that the vehicle performance improved magically after the first service and I am hoping for it tool. Looking forward to the actual service experience and I will update the thread.
