Re: 2022 Maruti Brezza Review

I've a Brezza ZXI+ variant. The infotainment system doesn't turn dark in auto mode at night. I've tried factory reset as well. Kindly suggest what to do.

Have you updated the software and presume it is 66TA.05.00 version which is the latest. If not then

How to do it as per my post no :#495 and post of cr4nkshaft post no #497

Re: 2022 Maruti Brezza Review

Today went for my first free service. The odo read 1090 km. Reached the MAS at 9:30. As soon as they entered the vehicle details in the system, they got a notification/circular that air bag module needs to be replaced.

They MAS had to source it from their Ropar outlet as they did not have it inhouse. Had to wait for close to 4 hours for the module to arrive and it took approx 2 hours for it to be replaced.

Few shots for the WIP and the module which was replaced. Sorry for the out of focus picture of the actual module.

Sharing details of another post of mine as I believe it would help some of the potential Brezza buyers make a decision.

Let me share my observation and experience and the learnings as I have recently got my Brezza Smart Hybrid and have driven close to 1082 Km.

Please note I am still a learner to Hybrid car and yet to master it.

My first drive as soon as I took the delivery of the car was approx. 286 Km. I was not aware rather did not understand the Hybrid functionality and drove the car as I would drive my previous car which was Swift Dzire Diesel. I was not aware when and how the regen would kick in and when the battery would charge. So I got a mileage of around 18.7km/liter on the MID on my first drive.

Then I read the manual and started changing my driving style and drove for approx. another 70 odd km within city to change my driving style.

When I went for a refill which was a tank full, I got a mileage of 17 km/liter tank full to tank full.

I was to drive to Delhi NCR and with change in my driving style got a mileage of 19.7 km/liter as per MID ( Please note I had reset the MID which displays the mileage after my refill). Drove to office and home in Delhi NCR for 3 days and with further improvement in driving style and better connect with car the MID started showing 20.2 km/liter.

On 25th drove back to Chandigarh and with a better understanding of how to drive a Hybrid the MID now show 20.7 KM/liter.

As per MID I am good to drive another 150 KM and since last tank full have already driven 690 Km.

With the amount of fuel left as shown in the MID I am pretty confident that I will be able to drive another close to 200 KM. Will update the post once I go in for refill.

I guess after 10K service and with me mastering Hybrid I would be easily extracting a mileage of approx. 22km/liter.

Re: 2022 Maruti Brezza Review

1. The brochure mentions full LED lights in the Brezza top version. But some of my friends got bulb as indicators and reverse lamps on their full version. How so? Any inputs are most welcome.

2. The waiting period has dropped drastically here in Kerala it seems. Vehicles are available in one month time after booking it seems according to sales persons. Is it the same all over?

Re: 2022 Maruti Brezza Review

Congrats on the new car. Looks good in silver-black DT combo. Looking for a solid compact car amiably for short drives within city & to ferry child to school, wife will mostly do that it should have good safety rating, 6 airbags & ESP along with good service & reliability.

The Tata Altroz doesn’t have 6 airbags + ESP with a turbo motor AT. Safety of the updated Baleno & Glanza is still in the air, they’ve only added 6 airbags & ESP, no proof yet regarding structural safety; same for the i20.

I always stayed away from the sub-compact suvs due to the height & esp. width which would give the feeling of driving a larger car, but the Nexon & the Brezza are the only ones fitting my requirement list now. Brazza got a 4* rating under the previous GNCAP test protocol; waiting to see how the new Brezza & Nexon perform under the new GNCAP testing protocols.

Can you share what app you use for tracking your vehicle ownership expenses. I’ve been doing them manually but an app would really make things easier

I recently started using fuelio app in android. It has all the cost parameters to track. Though I wanted a better breakup of maintenance items, which is not possible to do automatically in this app.
It also creates report for sharing/saving.

Re: 2022 Maruti Brezza Review

I am planning to buy Brezza Automatic but am confused between VXI and ZXI+. I am not interested in cosmetic features like alloy, sunroof, etc. I like the following features of zxi+, but not sure if they are worth 3L extra.
1. 360 Camera
2. Rear Wiper
3. 60:40 rear seat

I have to drive the car mostly in Bangalore, any advice?

I would suggest take a TD and then decide. I have ZXI+ AT and the reason paid extra was for the six airbags as my highway driving is more.

Re: 2022 Maruti Brezza Review

Got my Brezza ZXI+ AT delivered on 03 February.
I immediately took it out on a 300 kms drive due to some personal work. After driving old manual i10s and i20s, this car feels smooth as silk.

The car immediately after a 300 kms journey. Somehow the garlands stuck on till the end.

After its first water wash, completed by yours truly.

The Brezza on its first trip to my office, and parked next to a tasty red Polo of a colleague.

I had opted for minimal accessories only: front and rear skid plate (mainly to hide the ugly exhaust can), sidestep for aged parents, rain visors, 3D mats and leather seat sleeves (which don't cover the airbags thankfully). The dealer added on some goodies like car care kit, tyre inflator, car perfume, one USB type-C cable and boot mat for free.

I'll write up a longer report once I get used to the car and complete 1000 kms.

Re: 2022 Maruti Brezza Review

I have a question for current Brezza owners, regarding the stock tyres.

Mine came shod with MRF Wanderer Ecotred Street 215/60 R16s, rated 95H. Over the last 400 kms and especially when I've set cruise control at ~60-80 kmph, the tyre noise has become unbearable. Tyre noise drowns the engine noise and at times even the audio from the speakers. The grip has been good, though I've not driven on muddy/slippery roads or had any panic-braking situations so far. It's just the noise that's irritating.

Since the tyres are still around 400 kms old and therefore quite new, would it make sense to shift to more silent (and probably grippier) Yokohamas or Continentals?

My 2017 brezza came with Appollo tyres which was very noisy in concrete stretch not so in tarmac, but brezza suspension was stiff, so I traded 3k run tyres for michilein with 4.5k buy back per tyre which completely solved noise issue but not much improvement in ride quality.
