This one is of the most trusted ones in Pune.

The HP pump on Karve Road is considered good as well (next to Ranka Jewellers and not the opposite ones).

I know its said to be trusted, but could of times I filled up from there, I remember getting lesser mileage (compared to the RTO bunk and Shell).

You mean the IOC and BPCL bunks on the opp. are known to adulterate?

Could not find the time to go that side. But finally Kulkarni bunk on Laxmi Rd., got a stock of System 2 3. So finally picked it up from there couple of weeks ago.

Basically, no idea if they adulterate or not. But, I and couple of friends have had bad experience with the one closer to Kasat (farther from signal). The attendant tried to cheat on quantity.

Friends, on the nagar road near chandan nagar, on crossing maruti showroom signal, there are 3 petrol pumps - BPCL followed by HP and then IOC. Any ideas which one is better? I tried all 3 and attendants in all try to divert your attention.

Any idea how trustworthy is the HP Petrol Pump on Pashan - Bavdhan road (close to Chandani Chowk)? Seems to be a new (or newly renovated) gas station...

@Musaafir:

Since Shell prices were going thru the roof, I gave this HP bunk a try since one of my friends told me that its good, And what surprise, my car (Linea) seems to like this bunk more than Shell. The engine noise has actually gone down with a slight increase in the FE. Have decided to stick to this bunk for now!!

It is a fairly new bunk. I don't recall seeing a bunk on that road ever before. No idea how it is though... never dared to try it out.

DO NOT - I repeat - DO NOT fill at any of the Indian Oil bunks on Sinhgad Road. (I am talking only about DIESEL here)

There are three of them
1. At the start of Sinhgad Road (near Dandekar Bridge)
2 & 3 : Right next to each other : opposite the garden. One of them is Pranav Service Station (IOC) and I don't know the name of the other one. It was an IBP bunk earlier but now it is an IOC bunk.

My dad has had bad experience at bunk 1 listed above. I have had bad experiences at 2 & 3. In fact, my Punto's FE dropped to as low as 10 km/lit after I filled up at bunk 2. (usually I get 17-18 km/lit in city)

I got suspicious about these bunks when they stopped accepting Indian Oil Fuel coupons that I had received after redeeming the points on Citibank Indian Oil Credit Card.

My suspicion is : since mostly six seaters and luggage carriers fill up at these bunks, the bunk owner has absolutely no intensive to keep a check on diesel quality.

I have now shifted to Shell and my car's FE is back to its normal range.

I have filled up petrol in my Bike over there a few times. The attendants are crooks, by default will try to fill with "Premium" fuels. You have to be careful and not open you tank lid till he puts back the Premium fuel dispenser and pulls the Normal fuel Dispenser. Quality wise not sure - as I do re-fueling in my bike only for Rs 100-150 each time.
