Points taken

But before we enforce any minimum speed, we have to have people capable of driving at it.

Wait! You want the truck driver to signal? What is the signal for I am now going to drive on your side of the road?

The truck driver's angle of turn is so narrow that he is, effectively, driving on the wrong side of the road. Regardless of that, and regardless of the biker's speed, he turned across the oncoming traffic, which had right of way. That means the bike.

The bike may have been going too fast. Usual thing applies: every accident can be avoided with the right defensive driving, but this accident is not the biker's fault.

Haven't seen this car ever crashed like this. Unconfirmed reports say it happened today in Kerala.

The previous gen Baleno! Such a sad sight. Hope the occupants are safe though. Seems like a high speed head-on crash looking at the extent of damage and the number of pieces the car has broken down into.

It’s definitely a Baleno sedan. Hint : check the tail lights. The boot is almost non-existent in the second picture which make some one thing that it is a Palio.

Looks like the car got T Boned badly from the right side. The car is almost unrecognisable.

Saw a badly damaged Jag XF at Savitri Flyover. Probably hit a truck or a bus at high speed. It seems like a write off to me.

It was captured on CCTV. Prima facie was due to an over speeding car, but that wasn't the case. The lorry didn't have brakes seems like.
Happened this morning. One person died.

Some stupidity happened which is not visible in the video and because of that the lorry lost control.
Baleno slowed down in time and stopped (4th second in video).
There may be some local resident suddenly crossing the road due to which the lorry driver turned the steering to avoid and then the accident happened.

Looks like the truck driver(?) lost control. Look at the steer wheels, all locked to the right even after it hit the car which mostly says the tanker was loaded. The driver who jumped out of the drivers side of the truck and tried opening the door and then came with a crowbar, honestly looks like the cleaner.

The road layout is not clear to me: is the Baleno on the wrong side? If so: end of story.

I think the road is being repaired; the lane in the direction of the Baleno is blocked from access by using those tar barrels. Vehicles are sharing the lane in the other direction to go both ways.

This is one of the main road which connects the recently opened Kannur International airport and extensive road widening/repair works are in progress. There are several of such work-in-progress/take diversion stretches where only one lane is tarred. If you see here, one side is laid and the other side is yet to be. The car ideally was supposed to be driving through that un-laid road like how a two wheeler went ahead of it, but sometimes vehicles get on to the tarred road and drive through but at the mercy of oncoming vehicles giving them the way.

I see that many of us Indians have this bad habit of turning into a road through its wrong side.
I call it as taking the racing line. I get honked at regularly for stopping, look around for the traffic and taking a 45deg right turn in an uncontrolled blind T-junction inside a technology park. Many riders just undercut me without stopping while I'm taking the turn as well. 99% of the people who honk at and undercut me are educated professionals who earn in upper tens of thousands per month. The current situation on our roads is really alarming and the worst thing is I don't see even small evidence of this improving.
