There are many more that we can improve but the above four is top priority.
The video is not enough to come to any adequate conclusion. Still, no truck will suddenly gain forward momentum when hit by a small car from behind (unless the small car was at an impossibly high speed for that road). So your version defies laws of physics. Let's put this speculation to rest and move on, shall we?

Third/Last one, another Ashok Leyland, seems to lose control first. My theory is the small car hits the 3rd truck and driver loses control and was not able to brake in time. If you try to watch the video in the slowest speed possible (in YouTube) you will notice that the car tries to squeeze in between the trucks.
Alternate theory from me:
I think the 3rd truck which was already out of control and hit the white car and then the car hit front corner of another truck. If you see the speed of that truck from the first frame, it is evident that there was no way he could have avoided what happened next, even if the white car wasn't there, the outcome would be the same.
The speed of both vehicles is almost 2 times than other vehicles, no one in right mind will drive that fast with this much traffic in front. (If white car was speeding and caused accident, it doesn't explain speed of the truck). It might be case of brake fade/fail.

Only if we had video from 1-2 sec before, it would be clear. But in first couple of frames I could see the white car accelerated forward due to rear impact.

This is why we need very strict HIT-AND-RUN avoidance laws on our roads.

Sure thing. Although the engine and chassis did not take any damage at all. I will probably sell it off if I find any issues with it.

A doubt- isn’t there something mentioned in the Terms and conditions while availing Pick & Drop service which has a clause stating the dealership not liable if any accident takes place? Asking because I avail the same from a Toyota dealership and you have to sign that form. God forbid if an accident takes place the burden lies on you (insurance) as they have your signature on the form.
Indeed, a clause existed; however, the dealership acknowledged that they failed to communicate this condition to me before availing the pick-up and drop-off service. Additionally, I was not provided with any formal documentation for endorsement. Nevertheless, the dealership displayed exceptional kindness by extending assistance. While there may be a slight financial setback in selling the car, I am grateful that no harm befell the driver.

Re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

The tempo stops at a distance and you can see someone getting down. So he did not vanish. There was a similar video in this thread of a car overtaking from left at high speed and knocking off a motorcycle who was peacefully driving in the left most lane https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/road-...ml#post5706611 (Accidents in India | Pics & Videos).

Both are examples of overtaking at high speed on a curve.

He stopped because the Railway crossing was closed and others were stopped in front of him.

As soon as the train passed, the gates open and the queue dissipated and he bolted.

Classic case of Hit and Run. He ran when others were busy tending to the injured. Boils my blood..

Re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

Today morning at around 6 am in Aurangabad Maharashtra, a LPG gas tanker dashed the divider on the road, thereby causing major damage to the cabin of the truck. The accident caused a leak in the gas tanker. Considering the risk involved a area of about 1 Km was vacated by the authorities, the driver and the cleaner of the tanker are admitted to hospital in serious condition.

A speeding tempo, seemingly trying to push ahead at a toll plaza hits the barricades put up by the toll staff. Location around Nagpur, Maharashtra.

A vehicle hit the electric pole that hence got dangerously tilted towards the main road in Sahakar Nagar, Nagpur. The state electricity distribution authority Maharashtra State Electric Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) was apathetic and negligent. They did not either repair the pole nor did they block the traffic for the full day.

(Tweet with video)

In their bureaucratic, parroted reply as below they asked the Times of India correspondent to share his 12 digit consumer number on his registered mobile number in DM. MSEDCL should know that this is a public interest complaint. Why do they ask the complainant for his personal consumer number?

Quote:
Dear Consumer, we deeply regret for the inconvenience caused. We request you to share your 12 digit consumer number or your registered mobile number in DM. So we can forward the complaint accordingly for resolution.

This is how LPG tank leakages/Fires are controlled by cooling down the shell of the tank through water spray, else there is a chance of "BLEVE", a catastrophic explosion is on the cards, if not continuously cooled. Numerous such accidents across the world have been noticed.

It's strange the area isn’t cordoned off with curious onlookers on the scene. They would be sitting ducks if the explosion happens.

BLEVE

Re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

Happened a couple of days ago. My friend was following the mini truck.

Without going to legality of modification of the mini truck, it's driver should have been more careful owing to his vehicle size/height. It also signifies importance of keeping safe distance from the vehicle in front.

Re: Accidents in India | Pics & Videos

Car hits a biker trying to cross lanes. Seems to be a national/state highway. Biker riding with triple-seating; no helmet either. The car in speed, coupled with the biker trying to cross without due attention to oncoming traffic. From what is visible in the video, there was a rumbler strip before the junction; the car should have definitely slowed down; also, the biker should have been extra-careful while crossing. Judging by the force of the hit, the riders are sure to have sustained injuries.

Rumbler strips are more often counter productive. If vehicles slow down to 25-35 mph speeds, these strips will rattle the hell out of the vehicle, so most of the times, motorists tend to speed up to 'fly' over them if they see one.
