The video is not edited. A clear giveaway is the reflection of the loco on the car's rear windscreen, as it passes the car.

Thanks GTX+ for the clarification. It's extremely dangerous. Had it been any other larger car, the things would have been disastrous.

So, the level crossing manager cannot open one gate as well.

That's incredibly insane. Willful damage to public property, that too, a barrier meant for safety should be treated as a crime.

The passengers in the car appear unfazed, sitting through the whole gate re-engineering calmly!!
They seem to have had a very lucky escape, since they were stuck in between the live track and the railway crossing. This also indicates they must have ignored the gate closing warning while entering the crossing.
They must thank their stars at getting away away without loss of life.

That Gangman needs a raise. Poor guy must be pissed off to someone encroach his place of work, had enough if it.

PS - Gangman is not a negative; kind of mafia job, for the millenials here. Google for a "Railway Gangman", they are the most important foot soliders of the railways.

Its shocking to see the video, absolutely anything can go wrong in an instant, one has to just pray to not be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Wonder how the driver managed to do that.
Its a classic case of the rear fishtailing once the driver made that abrupt move to get back into the left lane and subsequent attempts to correct the fishtailing making it worse and spinning the car out of control.

Its rather a sad trend these days that tall and unstable SUVs are gaining popularity over conventional low slung stable sedans in the car market. Its got to do with our bad roads that makes these SUVs popular, rugged, reliable and a more practical choice.

SUVs may give drivers a (false) sense of security, however, anything built tall can also easily topple or go out of control at speeds.
Its not about bashing any car brand, its just the way SUVs are built so tall that makes them intrinsically less stable and easy to lose control at higher speeds.

If you're driving an SUV, drive them the way they are mean't to be driven, nice and steady, slow at curves and avoiding all sudden manoeuvres.
If you want to drive fast on highways (at legal speeds and following all rules), better get a sedan.

The auto driver was lucky he didnt get a direct hit from the truck (only because of the truck driver's attempt to steer away to the right unsuccessfully). One can only hope the truck driver didnt suffer major injuries.

Seems like the pick-up was initially hidden from view behind the second auto-rickshaw for the turning auto-rickshaw. Once it became visible, the turning auto-rickshaw panicked or thought that the pick-up will follow the left lane and cross from behind.

Reverse happened for the pick-up guy. Thinking that rickshaw will stop and he could cross using the right lane.

Accident near Chitradurga where a car ( Fronx ) hit a slow moving truck on left lane.
Most likely it is due to overtaking without visibility of what's in front.

They should be booked for damage to public property. They chose to break the barricade, even when they had adequate space between the train.

Oh boy, that looks bad. I hope no lives were lost.
The car appears to be a roasted brinjal used to make Baingan Ka Bharta.

Unfortunately, 4 out of the 5 occupants passed away. Only the driver survived with injuries. This is a family related to my sister-in-law. Don't know the reason for the accident yet. But sure looks like the underrun protection on the truck either didn't exist or didn't work well enough. How can we explain half the vehicle under the truck otherwise? Really sad for the people who lost their lives. RIP. That’s why I feel Indian roads are pretty dangerous to drive on and Idol is a must have on the dashboard.

Clearly from the video it seems the rear under protection is not as per the standard, the max height it can have is 750mm above the ground level. Well in this case it’s way above (almost at drivers head level) and the car A pillars aren’t designed to take such impact directly. I’m specifically Not going in the nitty gritty of who’s wrong or right. But a simple correct design implementation would have saved some lives. I fail to understand What transportation departments responsibility is when they offer fitness certificate to such tankers. It feels like that the purpose of protection bar is to protect the gas capsule in rear ending scenarios rather as a RUPD.
