Yes there is a South Indian outlet and I’m unable to recollect the name but the food was quite bad. If I were you, I’d prefer Nandi Upachar at Devanahalli or any other local eatery/darshini in chikballapura.

As mentioned by others, Cube is best avoided. Please find my review in this post (Hyderabad to Bangalore : Route Queries).

Re: Hyderabad to Bangalore : Route Queries

Hi all,
I am planning a drive from BLR to HYD, need a good lunch place to stop on the way back. Can anyone please suggest a clean and hygienic place to stop for lunch?

Re: Hyderabad to Bangalore : Route Queries

Posting on behalf of a friend

Hi,

I have a route query. I am travelling from Hyderabad to Mysuru. In the past I have used the route Hyderabad >> Devanahalli >> Hebbal Junction >> Take the ring road to reach Tumkur Road >> Get on to the NICE road and hit the Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway.

I was recently reading about STRR connecting Devanahalli to Dobbaspet.

Will it be a good idea to use that to reach Mysuru -

Route I am thinking is Hyderabad >. Devanahalli >> STRR to Dobbaspet >> Nelamangala >> Bellur Cross >> Mysuru, basically to avoid Bengaluru traffic.

I would be starting at around 4am to reach Bengaluru at around 12pm on a Friday. Any pointers will be really helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Hyderabad to Bangalore : Route Queries

Any recommendations for Indian Oil XP95 fuel stops along this highway? BP has few company owned outlets that are very convenient, but looking for XP95 options.

There is a COCO at Kurnool bypass just before Tungabhadra on the southbound direction. There are no other IOC COCO on till Hyderabad on the highway.

There is one more in the same side further towards south. I think its called Sai Ram filling station. I keep travelling to Kurnool regularly and this is one pump which had it always, except for one recent instance.

Thank you so much for the response. That thread was really helpful.

One follow up - between the two routes (Devanahalli >> STRR to Dobbaspet >> Nelamangala >> Mangalore highway>> Bellur cross to Mysuru vs. Devanahalli>>Hebbal junction >> Ring road >> Tumkur road>> NICE road >> Mysuru express way to Mysuru) which is preferred in terms of avoiding traffic and saving time.

I am travelling with a 2 year old. So even 30-45 mins time saving can go a long way. It will be really helpful to get some guidance here.

My personal preference is the NICE road. Dobbespet is too long a cut.
