Hi Folks,

We have a planned trip to Kanyakumari starting tomorrow early morning 4.30 AM from Marathhalli, Bangalore. However, today the google maps is not showing the usual faster NH44 route via Krishnagiri, salem etc etc. If someone can update me on the route if its doable or if this route is closed due to travel advisory it will be of great help. Looking forward to positive responses at the earliest.

That route is not closed, may be due to the ongoing flyover work around Krishnagiri & Salem, its showing some other route based on traffic.

Which is the route being displayed for you?

Both options are shown in google maps for Salem to Marathahalli trip, however only NH844 is shown for Marathahalli -Salem trip.
Waze shows both routes.
Hopefully, someone will be able to throw some light on this issue.

Interesting. This may be due to the above mentioned road works around Krishnagiri.

Would suggest you either stick to same route, or take the incomplete NH844 between Hosur & Dharmapuri and join back NH44.
