Netherlands were clearly the better team and deserved to win against Brazil.

So my dream team is somehow in the final and my other team is playing like a dream. So it will be ball by ball support for who plays well tonight. It will be a heart vs mind game for me today.

I just hope Argentina puts up a brave fight and does not get drubbed like Brazil; because Argentina comes a bit more bottom in my heart than Germany. An early goal by the Germans could make things go the BRA-GER match.

Whose side are you guys on?

I have been watching football since the 94 WC when I was 8 yes old, and always supported (like a true malyali

) brazil or argentina. But then I started following the premier league and developed a soft spot for england. In general, European teams captured my attention much more, and since the 2006 world cup, I have been supporting Eng / Germany.

Another thing that puts me off Latin American football and Spain is the play acting / asking for cards when it is the referee's job / rolling over 100 times at every tackle.

So today, it will be Germany I will be rooting for.

Trying my best to be neutral and avoid the Heart vs Mind dilemma

Germany is definitely the better team but I don't think they're unbeatable.

For Argentina, Lionel Messi is the key on the Grand Day - will he be Messy or the Messiah ?
Argentina needs to play disruptive football to overcome the Germans!

Don't want this to end up tied at full & extra time and proceed to a penalty shoot out.

Watching since 1990 and supporting Germany and have been heart broken thrice in the last 3 world cups. Finalist in 2002. 3rd place finish in 2006 and 2010 after looking like the best team and playing beautiful football.
This year has to be it - even though the football has been more studied than beautiful

I say its going to be 3-1

Nail bitinggggg.... Germany with all the hard work and once unlucky (Remero should have punched it away instead he was ball watching). Argentina lucky yet unlucky! Higuain once and then Messi once, missed chances cost matches and that too on a final. Argentina can't even probe the German defense, they are relying on one off chance. Clearly Germany have the upper hand, but they got a bit nervous after the terrible back pass to Higuain.

What awaits us in the second half!

Germany is playing tiki tika football but alas nothing to show. Hope to see a good german feast in the second half!!! Arg had an goal ruled out for offside while germany is struggling to finish. :(
