Re: The Scale Model Thread

In line with my theme:"The Germans are coming", here is a teaser of what can be expected. I will try not to include images of German cars in my collection whose photographs I have not posted earlier.

I was in Mumbai yesterday specifically for these two models which were procured from Rakhesh's Automania. Automania has received their fresh Auto Art stock and the models are highly desirable. Add to that, some models from Kyosho, Minichamps which are available at an attractive discount.

These reasons were more than enough for me to burn a large hole in my pocket, even though I resisted from buying any of the discounted models!

Re: The Scale Model Thread

@ Siddvi - Is that a working sliding door on the VW ??? Never seen that before on a scale model car.

@ Bandhav - The addition of the figures has taken your photography to a whole new level.

I finally managed to get my hands on an orange Aventador recently at Model Art. Also picked up a white R8 Spyder. Cant seem to stick to my resolution of not buying any more models till the end of the year.

I was wondering, have any of you also had a particular model 'that got away'. You know the one which you saw at a store and almost picked up but put back on the shelf thinking Ill buy this some other time. And unfortunately the some other time never came due to non availabiltiy of the model and youve regretted it ever since.

For me its a 1:24 Alfa Romeo 8C which for some insane reason I didnt buy and have never seen it anywhere in Blore after that. It wouldve been a beautiful addition to my collection. Sigh!

Re: The Scale Model Thread

@manishalive: Great finish on the CB. It's one of my all time favourites, classic bike look, with superbike performance

One question though: Any particular reason why you've left out the mirrors? And did the original CB750 come with rectangular mirrors?

Bandhav, where did you get these Figurines from? I've been scouting for ages for these Figurines? Any pointers would be of a great help.
