Re: The Scale Model Thread

^^I got the reference of the seller from one of a fellow collector, the deal was closed over the mails.

I am yet to receive the shipment, once I have it in my hand, I will post images here and If you like what you see. Then I will provide you the details, just for records the "Mysterious fella" costed me almost as much as a 1:18 Maisto/Bburago car scale model, that too when I ordered 4 and negotiated like a Indian house wife.

^^All the 4s were ordered with confirmed order from fellow collectors but in case if someone opt out at last moment, I will offer one to you. Fair enough?

Well detailed 1:24 scale model of the VW T2 Siddvi. This model seems to be intricately detailed with more opening features that the 1:18 scale VW Samba that Welly makes.

Re: The Scale Model Thread

The Germans have finally come!

The last time I poster a teaser image of what can be expected in this section, a lot of time has elapsed. I was firstly on a motoring holiday to Goa where my camera conked out and only yesterday did I get my camera back.

I have included images of some of my Mercedes 1:18 scale models that were not part of my earlier posts and a majority of them are early entrants in my collection. This was also the time when my collection lacked focus and I used to get whatever I liked.

Some Merc models are by Maisto, the earlier generation C class model is by Anson and in the E class pair, the timeless W124 E320 is by Auto Art and the W211 E 220 is by Kyosho. This is also my first Kyosho model that Mercedes Benz India presented to us auto scribes during the launching ceremony in Pune in 2002.

The trio of Mercedes SUVs include the latest entrant G Wagon by Auto Art, GL by Minichamps and the first generation ML320 by Maisto

Comin to BMW, I have included images only of my latest BMW addition: the fantastically detailed and finished BMW 2002 in "TAP Rally" colours by Auto Art.

This model and the G Wagon as well as the E 320 were recently procured from Automania Mumbai.

Re: The Scale Model Thread

One of BMW'S most important and successful models, the 2002 which was produced from 1968 to 1975. Here is a TAP rally entrant raced by Warmbold. The BMW 2002 was also one of the entrants of "Car Of The Century" titles in 1999.

Re: The Scale Model Thread

The last entry in this series is that of the Volkswagen SAMBA.
The 1:18 scale model by Welly is well finished and the proportions seem to be just right.

I have also added an image of the BMW X5 by Kyosho that was accidently missed out.
