Extremely sad to hear this devastating news. May his soul rest in peace and God give his family the strength to overcome this tragic loss. I have met this big hearted gentle soul once, when I was a newbie here on the forum who made me feel at ease in our conversation. Rest in peace Steeroid and ride with the gods above.

Unfortunately, my interaction with Steeroid was very limited & over the forum only but nevertheless it was very sad & shocking to hear about his untimely passing.
Deepest condolences to his family & friends. May they find the strength to get through this difficult period.

I remember Steeroid's handle and avatar as one of the most stylish on the forum when I joined in 2006.

Condolences to the family on this huge loss.

On a side note, we always say great things about people only after they depart ; and that is when the community knows more about the individual. The departed soul would never get to hear or see these good statements.

Seen this with Behram Dhabhar, Sam Kapasi and few others.

I know it isn't the right time to say this but MODS, you could think of having a mechanism where members could post good things about fellow bhpians to help the forum know them better.

Just a suggestion.

Saddening. Remember his threads, especially a particular one in the vintage and classics section.

IIRC, his children would be in their teens. May the leading kindly lights show the family the path ahead.

As others have mentioned, his posts were a delight to read, extremely informative and at times outright witty, like this (Unique car spotted: A brand new Ambassador!)one.

Om Shanti Santhosh Gopalan. There are some handles whom you remember for their knowledge and writing styles, Steeroid did stand out and i remember his handle since the time i am here. Followed his Landmaster thread and also remember seeing him graciously host a lot of bhpians on their visit to the gulf. Wish the family all the strength in this untimely loss. I am shocked.

I remember his posts and several online interactions back in the day. We had all joined very early back in 2005.

My facebook feed is full of his remembrance as we have plenty of mutual friends in real life and online.
