BTW these drivers are made by Peerless Ltd (aka Damodar and co???) not Peerless (now owned by Typmany). B&T we need your eyes here.

you might not find these datasheets on the net.

Hey Sam.

I was thinking of a proper proper floor standing enclosure. One partition for the tweeter, and a the other for the 6.5"" driver.

I already have a good speaker setup at home. But its not really perfect for music, and ever since i heard Jasdeep's amazing home speakers I've turned over to the dark side

Tweeter- I already have a gto series spare with me or wud i need to use a new one?

And I shall treat u at Al-Kauser when you are here my long haired friend

What I can let you know is that these drivers were made, about 7 years ago for a famous british loudspeaker manufacturer.

Al-Kauser sounds good, a home audio speaker sounds better. You may find the GTO tweeter bright, but with a few tips from navin, you can make a good crossover that will tone it down. I will give you one pair, please have them picked up, email me for details.

That clears it up. I was wondering about how huge those hands were, in comparison to the driver.

SAM u trying to escape some custom issues or income tax or wat...
i mean u really giving woofers away like they some illegall AK47's u wanna get rid off.
i saw nicolas cage doin sumthing like this in "lord of war"

well about me wat i'll do if i get it !!

i redesigned bass box for my home system from bandpass to ported style but those tiny woofers are no good now, responce is like so deserted below 50Hz, but still they give mid and upper range as good as lata mangeshkar's speaker in her throat.

This time i'll make a sealed box for them to get a deeper punch.

a) most dome tweeters do not need a seperate enclosure. their backs are sealed.

b) I would not recommend the GTO tweeter for a home system, peerless india (Damodar and co) makes a decent dome tweeter that can be also obtained.

also from what i understand (dont ask me much more - i'd have to shoot you all then) these woofers would require a rather large (about 20-25 liter) box. More once I get better info.

hmmmm!!!!
sam, you are on a new assignment of distributing???

already 4 pairs gone.

i want them too. but me being a newbee to ICE (rather nobee) got only vague ideas.
but this is something i have in my mind for my TV. an equiliser and an amp can be assembled for less than 1000 bucks, which we did for my cousin few years ago. oh!!, for the enclosures part, we didnt take pain with the carpentary, bought to huge mud pots, yes pots made of mud inverted the subs into the pot, it rocks.

couldnt come up with any better ideas.

all i could do is bribe you to impress you.(do refer to hyderabad meet 2007.... )

{ <image removed as per PM. Please contact mods to replace it>it is known as banana tequilla}

P.S. me and satish can combinely arrange for the delivary. <image removed as per PM. Please contact mods to replace it>

P.S.2 hey hyderabad janta, compete for those, we all can have them.

Point taken. Will Look for other tweeters to go along with it.

Box size is not really a big issue. i can easily accomodate a 30-35" tall and 8"-12" wide/deep column easily in my room.

Or wud it be still bigger Navin??

Hey Sam,

Can i have a PAIR too, i am pretty new to the ICE world,so i will use them for my worldspace radio. I do have 4 channel amp lying with me for a long time now,ill make an enclosure for these., Would carry them for a weekend with friends, as usually somebody from the group carries music and amps i think this will be good enough for a suitable home audio.

In return - will drop some pastries. NO Drinks to provide sorry.

When can i come and pick them up?
