Sam, will a pair of these give better bass compared to a pair of pio 6*9 coaxials(the yellow cone ones). Currently I have these speakers connected to a 2 channel amp?

If it will give better bass then I would be interested in these. Please...

I can arrange through some friends to pick it up from mumbai. If i cant get it picked up I'll PM you at the earliest.

This time i'll make a sealed box for them to get a deeper punch.

Even if it did give better bass, what would you do for mids and highs?

I was planning on running all the speakers i.e. the front 4" and the 6X9 coax off the HU till I get the dough to get another amp.

I have a 4.1 going at home.

Would want to build a center-channel with two of these in it.

and also, as an afterthought, i think i should be able to make this a wireless set of speakers for my worldspace radio (and iPOD). (still need to figure out how). The FM transmitter on the iPOD should not have any interference at home.. the receiver at the speaker's end needs to be amplified.. There will be a small power cable though.. but no audio lines whatsoever.

What say Sam?

1) I would like you to tell me what you intend to do with them, on this thread. Solely based on that they are yours.
As of now I have no audio in my bedroom. What I do have is an old set of Sonodyne speakers which are gathering dust (200 Watt, 8 ohm impedence, Frequency response 45Hz - 20 Hz). Im going to be using a Pioneer Amplifier to drive these speakers, mated to my laptop/iPod.

These midbass drivers in a sealed box would complete my sonic requirements methinks!!

2) You post on this thread, with pictures, showing us all what you did, after you get them.
Consider this done !

[quote=Sam Kapasi;382167]Like Navin says, I'm not too sure about in car Not unless they're in an enclosure, with tweeters and a 2 way crossover.

Pdev, you will need tweeters mate.

Ohhhhhhh that means i m not getting one :(
But i can always get the tweeters on the dash and components...
and enclosure is with me from my old car.

if you want to make a 3 way component set you ll need a 3 way XO.considering you haave the mid bass you ll also need a mid range in addition to the already existing tweeter...
