The background score was glorious. Very few dialogues as music did all the talking. This episode deserves a cinema hall like viewing experience.

For folks who wish to deep dive into the Game Of Thrones universe, here is a YouTube channel that gives a lot of back stories, information, theories.
A few videos of this channel are worth watching for the amount of research the dude does.

Talking Thrones - YouTube Channel

Videos like this one are the reason I love visiting this channel.

I am not detailing out the exact scene, but towards the end, at the height of the moment, the piano piece is very similar to tunes heard in another HBO series, Westworld.
Not surprising, because Ramin Djawadi is the music creator for both.

I found Sacred Games better simply because the script is much more intricate and the performances better. Mirzapur is very good too; however, it's a bit loose on the story lines.

Ghoul should have been longer. Is there going to be another season for it? It seemed as if the story was really starting when the show ended.

Gosh.. How do you guys watch Homeland. I watched till season 4 episode 2 and Carrie character gets on my nerve. She was pretty good in Season 1 but the character became so irritating with child like tantrums, always gets what she wants and take decision which impacts everyone. And god awful love story with Brody.. I mean it did not make sense even from the beginning.

I guess I am amongst the minority who found the Game of Thrones S08E03 to be absolutely underwhelming. For me, the highlight of Game of Thrones was detailed plots and how events panned out with very little sensationalism and glorification. This episode was a stark departure from both of those traits.

As a standalone episode, I agree with others that action and music score is amazing and despite being a very long episode, there is never a moment to blink. But for something that has been building up for several years now, what happened was simply not befitting.

You're not alone. As you said, I did enjoy the episode for it's BGM, CGI etc., but it seriously lacked depth in plot. There wasn't any jaw dropping revelation, backstory unwinding or anything of that sort. And I heard many comparing it with the legendary Helm's Deep battle of LOTR, just because of the sheer duration alone

That is one way to look at it, but unlike John Snow I always thought the Night King track to be a side track in the entire GoT canvas and hence I am ok with E3 and the way it pans out.

Absolutely fantastic. The only gripe I have is some scenes were quite dark to make out what exactly is going on.

I faced same problem. Had to turn off lights in room to be able to see things clearly. Apparently, this is intentional (link) by the makers who want create that feel of bitter winter.

I too have mixed opinions on GOT S8 E3 from yesterday. All these years they were like Winter is coming, Winter is coming. I mean this war should have been into two episodes at least.

But i liked the build up, with that beautiful background score, minimum dialogues, reminded me of Hans Zimmers music in Dunkirk.

Also this episode was highly pixelated.

+1 to that.

I was thinking we'll get to see 2 episodes of battle each for NK and Cersei.

Underwhelmed by episode 3 of GOT season8. As already mentioned by some other the episode I felt lacked depth. All the build up for the night King and it ended up being a damp squib.

The scenes we're a bit too dark. I know intentional but very hard to watch and comprehend what is happening.

Did have it's moments though. Specially with Arya start (absolutely love her character) and everyone's favorite Lynna Mormont. Theon kind of redeemed himself. Other than that not much to cheer for in my opinion!
