Actually, harry10 is correct here, since Pak won't be playing in Mumbai. So, in case they qualify, Ind vs Pak SF will be in Eden Gardens.

PS: Pak had requested ICC to not schedule any of their matches in Mumbai. Read: Mumbai terrorists attacks

I guess playing a lot of Golf helped him perhaps with the swing of the bat. Offcourse you don't reverse scoop in Golf!

Yep, that's what I can see on the schedule too, as far as i know that still remains true.

Was wondering if fans with tickets to the SF have booked standby flight tickets to Calcutta, just in case. Though the chances of Pak qualifying look slim.

And what's going on with England?! How can you go from World champs to this low over 4 years? Quite a bit of the core of the team that won the last WC is pretty much the same too, right?

I am counting on Surya Kumar Yadav to play such an innings in this World Cup. Let’s see if that happens or not.
I agree, every team must have such a player in their team who can win a game on their own. They surely going to give some chances to the opposition but when it is their day, they can do the unthinkable like Maxwell did last night.

Re: The 2023 Cricket World Cup

I am planning to go for NZ Vs SL match with my family and friends. We have couple of kids with us. Our tickets are for stand without cover. It rains in the evening these days in Bangalore.
Can we take umbrella with us? Also can we take some snacks item like biscuits for kids?

Umbrella is a hit or miss, with kids they might allow, or else you can go on the upper part of stand as all of them are covered.

You can take snack item but make sure kid and mom stay together during security check, otherwise don't bother, food is easily available in stadium.

Anyone living close to the Chinnaswamy stadium? Is it raining?
Entire Pakistan is doing rain dance to have this game washed out

Not sure about umbrellas, but go with ponchos/cheap raincoats. They should allow that, but worst case you can discard them.

Knowing Bangalore, the weather can never be predicted. There was not much rain yesterday - I hope it will be the same today.

No rain so far in the day, but very high chances of rain interruptions considering it is fairly cloudy now. I feel it will be more of a reduced-overs game or a DLS result. Outright washout seems unlikely at present. But again, Bangalore weather

Edit - As I walk down from my office, I see that it got fairly sunny in the past 10 minutes. Much brighter than what it was yesterday.

Its just lightly cloudy now. Looks like NZ wants to finish the match before the rains :-)

Live about 10km from the stadium and just heard thunder. NZ will go after this target double-quick I think. Expecting some hard-hitting!

Re: The 2023 Cricket World Cup

5 more overs and NZ won't even bother with rains now.. They are miles ahead in DLS par score.

Re: The 2023 Cricket World Cup

and i just heard from the commentary that if NZ wins this in 25overs, then PAK has to win by 270+ runs and if NZ wins in 30overs, then PAK has to win by 240+ runs.
Both seems to be really tough ask!

They have to first win to begin with!! England will be waiting to dig into there bowling and also eyeing the spot in Champions trophy. Barring miracle, seems like it will be a repeat of 2019 Semi Final next wednesday at Wankhede.

Newzealand Wins, Pakistan needs to beat England by 287 runs to qualify with better NRR.
