We recently moved our stuff(4BHK) + 2 wheeler from Gurgaon to Bangalore and used the service of PMR, I am happy with the service, packing quality, and staff's behavior, and there was no damage. The only problem is they are very expensive they charge 1.5x of APML.

Can you please share what was the process to move the 2 wheeler? Did you have to get the NOC to be able to transport?

I just gave packer team copy of RC, insurance and pollution.
It is not mandatory to get NOC immediately, you can drive the vehicle for 1 year in other states, refer https://morth.nic.in/inter-state-transfer-vehicle

I’m looking to move from Pune to Bangalore and I see a lot of mixed reviews on Agarwal Packers and movers. I’m also talking to a few others. I’m not planning on moving any expensive delicate stuff and my fridge, washing machine, TV and my 2 wheeler are the primary expensive ones. The rest like kitchen utensils, clothes etc aren’t likely to get damaged.

Can someone help me understand if I should buy the insurance offered by these movers in my scenario?

I will be shifting from Kogilu Yelahanka to Devanahalli a distance of 26 kms. The stuff to move is equal or less than 1 BHK equivalent. Got a few quotes for the same and was interested more in Porter movers and packers as they sounded professional and they don't bargain. Anybody used Porter within Bangalore to shift household items recently, how has been the experience? Any damages encountered?

For these small distance movement no movers n packers are asking for insurance.

Hey, I have used Porter for transporting, honestly depends entirely on whom they are sending as they send the local movers and packers, I have generally found good fellows, and have a contact of a few if you want. It's significantly less if you don't use porter and book them directly.

Kindly share the contact nos of the persons who can do the job independently. Surprisingly Porter team confirmed that the persons visiting for the job are Porter employees and not any third party outsourced team.

Hello dear team BHPians,

Hope you all are healthy and happy! I need your help. I am shifting my entire house from H block, C R Park to Pocket 40, C R Park within New Delhi.

I contacted NoBroker and Porter for a physical inspection so that I could get an accurate quote but both have displayed incompetence and outright refusal to do a physical inspection, respectively. While I have tried filling out the pre-pick-up form for NoBroker, I am unsure which category certain items/articles within my house would fall under.

The customer care helplines for both services have been useless so far despite repeated attempts to connect with their "Delhi Team". I have contacted Agarwal Packers and Movers and they've agreed to do a physical inspection but I have heard that their final quotes are quite higher than the average movers.

Can BHPians suggest any reliable packers and movers within Delhi-NCR who can do a physical inspection before proceeding with the final pick and drop?
