Seems Jayasurya is trying to beat the record of 13 sixes in one game by McCullum :-) !!
And what is wrong with this ground .. 67 mtr shots are going for sixes -- couldnt Bombay have a decent sized ground ???

Bombay winning is going to do what I feel will happen .. they will sneak into the top 4 somehow , maybe at the expense of Delhi and Calcutta :-) !!

OMG it was raining sixes.!!! Was it the size of ground or was it all Jayasuriya power??

I don't think now CSK can sail smoothly into semifinals..

Size of the ground was definitely a factor .. in most of the other grounds 80% of those sixes would have gone straight to the fielders - but obviously we can't take anything away from him as even Dhoni & Co should have sent them out of the park which they couldn't for some reason .

And yeah .. semi-final fight is on all over again !! Next MI play KKR and Im sure most of the stadium will be filled with BOLLYWOOD and hope to see Ambani do a jig similar to SRK last night but just hope his son doesn't decide to do one as that would remind me of the Fosters advertisement - Australian for belly dancing

MI have come from nowhere and NC , your script seems to be stepping out of line , or maybe you saved that twist for a bit longer .

DAMN .. dunno where you get your stats from but its unbelievable . You should try for a job with the cricket channels -- sit with the commentators and pass them such stats . Im sure the present guys dont have half the stats that you dig out from God only knows where .

And after the match you can become the media guy with the camera and capture the hugs - stares - slaps and you can be a one man magazine/channel !!

(Snigger, snigger, gleefully rubs his hands)

The script is turning out the way I expected. In the course of the next two weeks, please sit back & watch some of the foregone conclusions go haywire.

I'm enjoying this . CSK, RR, KXIP - not a cakewalk for them any longer. The KKR & MI are making it to the semis in any case, lets see who the other two will be.

Khaadu, preserve this post

What was Jayasuriya doing? He wasted so many deliveries. He scored 9*4 and 11*6 which is 102 runs in 20 *****. It took him 28 deliveries to get the other 12. Shame on him. Such a poor strike rate. This is not expected from him !!! Come on this is 20-20.

hee hee.

Seems in the middle of the "Sanath Sixes" no one noticed that Joginder Sharma bowled a "beautiful little delivery that clean bowled a certain master blaster" - 1st one shaped away - the 2nd shaped away too and just as Sachin was driving, the ball nipped back after pitching.

That again exposed Sachin's weakness against the incoming delivery.

Thank God he didnt behave as if the ball kept low

It was great watching Jayasuriya. I just hope none of the teams who paid astronomical sums to their players reach the semifinal.

This reminds me of a quote I read somewhere - "47.38% of all statistics are made on the spot".

Ofcourse no offence meant to diabloo.

Oh, it was a beauty all right, Sachin was clueless.

On another note, I thought it was petulant & childish of Sachin not to make the effort of walking up to Dhaval Kulkarni in the last over & saying some reassuring words! The kid was spraying all over (he'd bowled 3 good overs before that) - aren't these the kind of situations where a Captain (and one of the greatest players of all time) is expected to go up & talk to his youngsters & soothe their nerves

I thought Pollock was doing more of that, more power to him lol!
