Great pics there, Roshun!

Don't the side steps/running boards take a beating?
I managed to get my Scorpio's right running board dented in heavy snow last year near Mashobra!

Quite right Anup. I have a dented side step as a souvenir from this venture. It knocked a hidden rock. But it's nothing a few blows from a hammer won't fix.

@badboyscad: The first two pics are from Randeep, lifted from the other thread with all the offroading pics. He's only taken B/w pics. There are some nice videos there as well of the Scorp doing seemingly impossible climbs and descents without too much drama.

@Deepak: Thanks. But I didn't get too many more pics as I was driving and had the camera with me for quite a while, but I will wait for others to post more pics in the 4x4 section. Once I change my tyres to ATs, I'm sure it will do even better.

Cheers,

A bit OT here, but on this weekend's Hyderabad drive, i drove Getsurya's M-hawk for about 70 odd kms.

Now, i drive a safari dicor as my daily drive and have extensively driven my brother's Turbo DX scorp in delhi (i must have driven that car for at least 15000 kms) so i had two reference points for the m-hawk.

only one word- STUNNING!!!!

that car is a beast- apart from interior space and to a much smaller extent, the ride comfort, the safari, whether the 3.0 dicor or the 2.2 vtt comes nowhere close to this beast.

the reworked suspension is generations ahead of my brother's scorpio and i was taking sweeping bends at over 100 without a thought, and the way htat thing accelerates needs to be experienced to be believed.

also the touch and feel of the plastics and general fit and finish is at least a generation ahead of the safari. now if only M&M can do somehting about the interior space, esp. shoulder room.

This, coupled with M&Ms apathy towards safety features (ABS, EBD, Airbags) and non-availability of 4x4 in the SLX (in those days) is what had put me off completely & pushed me towards the Safari.

And the rest, as they say, is history......

Roshun,

Great photos. You are putting your ride thru the elements!

Now, is this the first set of photos of a 4WD Scoprio here in one of T-BHP's OTR?

Do not see much of this beau

No, it's a regular thermometer that looks like a tachometer (Type-R brand). The other one is an inclinometer (Rolling & Pitching), which did get a fair workout that day, hitting its limits.

Cheers,
