AFAIK this is the MSO or the TV arm of Hathway which is a group company. I was also interested since I have a broadband connection from them and the overall service has improved. The cable TV business am not sure of even though they are one of the few profitable outfits around.

I have applied for Tejas network ipo and have got 55 shares. Let's see if this share gets any listing gaina. Although the price looked attractive but seeing the current market scenario of index falling daily there may be no listing gains when the stock opens for trading.

Whats up with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance company? Their stock price is scaling new highs every week! I got allotments from their IPO and then purchased a few more shares when price fell to average out cost. What is the outlook for this company? My only worry is whether this level will be sustained over long term, or is it better to book profits, in which case I will have to pay tax. I would prefer to hold it for long term though.

Well, no one can say for sure about the market, but I had been getting strong buy call for long term on ICICI prudential at around 400. I did not, but I see that the counter has already returned almost 20%.

It is the only listed insurance company in India!

People will always need insurance. Its a sector that should grow faster than average given that insurance penetration is low here. Other companies are coming with IPOs in this sector. Its your call but methinks insurance should be a long call.

What a bull run! Did you pick ITC on a general FMCG bet or on the excise duty waiver news on cigarettes?

The HEG bet is interesting. Is there any GST impact on graphite electrodes? It would be great if you could share more insights.

Around 565-575 I guess. Currently it is hovering in 540-550 range.
