Guys, just lost my Rayban recently. Where can I find the biggest collection of sunglasses in Bombay. Especially Rayban and Oakley?

^^ you can try Lund and Blockley store @ kala ghoda, they do have a neat collection of Raybans. You can also try atria and other malls in western suburbs like Infinity, Inorbit, etc. most of them have started keeping a decent collection of sunglasses.

Guess Polaroids are not able to handle Indian summers. My 1 year old Czech made Polaroid has lost it's coating at edges of the glass.

my experience is quite opposite. My 2.5 year old Polaroid is doing it's job brilliantly. the fit and finish is almost same as on the day it was purchased despite being left in car many times on hot sunny days.

in-fact i have purchased another Polaroid 3 months back because of my good experience with the earlier piece.

Thanks, I think I'll go to Inorbit. That's where I got the last one from and its closer too.

I for one would not recommend Rayban to anyone. Its a joke their campaign says NEVER HIDE. Ironical.

Why do you say that?

Deawood,
This can happen to any brand, when storing the glasses after every use, please wipe the metal part which comes in contact with our skin. Perspiration has a lot of salts which when left on the plating can i believe over a period of time, corrode/chip the plating.

Happened to my first Aviator. Currently i wipe the metal after every use and so far so good.

Went to Oberoi and Inorbit mall and didn't find a good polarized Ray ban. It seems that they have random models. Oakleys were a little over my budget.

I'm looking for an RB3364P or RB3269P. If anyone knows where I can get one please let me know.

No, this was not the metal frame. It was the colour coating on the glass which has disappeared along the edges. Took it to the place where i bought it and they said it's dis-coloration of lens. They acknowledged it's a fault but can't replace it, as the manufacturer warranty is for only 1 year. They said only Maui Jim has a 2 year warranty for polarised glasses.

Thanks. I think I remember seeing that store long back. Will go and check it out.

Have been using the customised sunglasses with power prescription for last 1 year.

Brand - Essilor xperio (Polarised) with Crizal coating .
Check out their link here : About Xperio lenses

Very effective during daytime as it reduces the glare from outside.

Have a collection a Ray-Ban Aviators, actually 4 of them .( Ray-Ban Fanatic, i guess)
But am sorry, i cant be be any help for stores in Mumbai. Got all my Glares from abroad.

Infact, Lifestyle and Central have a decent collection. Inorbit Malad boasts a store dedicated for Ray-Bans. Ground floor i guess towards lifestyle store.

Cheers.
