Oh Lord Yeti, that was a laugh riot. I havent laughed like this in ages. My colleagues are wondering what's gone wrong with me.

I hope you try this with some more movies as well. This is much much better than watching the actual movie.

Ha, ha! The transliteration was extremely funny! The guy who put the subtitles knows neither Tamil nor English properly, and left his marbles back home before leaving for work! How the hell did I not see this thread all these days? It is an absolute riot!

But let me try my hand at translating this particular line; it is not "controversy", and this is what our hero sings:

"The charms of a maiden (one moment), yet sulking like a baby (the next), you are a bundle of contradictions"!

Does it make sense now, Sam?

This is but one example of the endless goof ups made by the translator!

very interesting thread indeed!

neatly done, and i like the way you handled rajni fans. I have heard many people pray to him and this goes as far as japan!!

Is it correct that japanese have probably the biggest rajni fan club?

and that last video.... what the heck is "bunny lava?" absolutely stupid!

Some interesting videos for you Sam

Southern cinema is filled with hilarious moments. Sivaji the Boss is nothing compared to certain movies. These three videos will make you .

1. Newton fails miserably with Vijayakanth:

2. Giving an electric shock to current:

3: Answering the press in superfluous English and mannerisms:
Seriously this is not from a movie. It is a real life incident.

Hilarious! One of the best threads I have read on TBHP. Let's hope the subtitles of Enthiran, the Robot are a riot as well. BOOM BOOM ROBO DA ROBO DA!

For those that haven't heard the audio, buy the CD asap. Sample lyrics. These are the actual lyrics (not subtitles) and the song rocks! One of Rahman's best in recent times.

You wanna seal my kiss
Boy you cant touch this
Everybody hypnotic hypnotic
Super sonic
Super star cant cant cant get this

Mr Sam Kapasi,

You are a genius, this particular thread had me in splits for a very long time on a Tuesday afternoon when I was supposed to be preparing a PPT presentation sitting in office which made my boss come out of his cabin and join me in the laughter. You will not believe, when I was presenting the ppt slides, I was smiling remembering those wacky dialogues.

My god, the translation actually killed the songs. I thank God for making you see the movie first in tamil and then with English subtitle otherwise we would not be having this hillarious thread.

Rated this thread as 5 star, worth every post.

Re: A YetiŽ POV - A funny look at Sivaji with Subtitles

OMG this has to be one of the funniest piece of material that one has read in the www.

It is absolutely hillarious. Bumped into this thread, did read late but better than never ever! A must read for a good laugh!

One observation on the subtitile writer, he must surely be from the Americas since he takes names of them and must have written the transaltion exactly by looking into the frames as ones posted here and trying to bring out his imagination!

Wow still cant stop laughing!
