Sandoz 21Jewels SWISS MADE

Sandoz 21 Jewels Original Swiss made (Sandoz watches were made in Swiss, Singapore, Hongkong and Spain), the swiss made Sandoz were suppose be regarded for its high quality build.

Sandoz Hongkong and Singapore watches were priced economically compromising the quality.

The Sandoz that I have is a key wound watch and claims shock proof on the dial and back cover.

Due to its age the glass developed internal cracks and printed letters in the dial also gone missing. But the watch works great whenever the key is screwed and continues for next 34 - 38 hours non stop.

New collection

In an effort to bring some of the previously showcased vintage wrist watches to wearable condition look what I have done

The blue Seiko with blue Titan band is a cool watch with a blue Jean and Black top.

Did you notice a golden case watch in the bottom of above picture? if yes then here is the question, what is the make of this watch ? I got this from friend of mine but no one has any idea about the make of this watch. Even the inner machine doesn't have any script or name expect swiss made and 17jewels.

The amount of gold plating on this watch is extraordinary and the the look of this watch is stunning and looks like a rifle scope view. This watch is a manual watch with "seconds" hand on the bottom of the dial. I could also see a "A" logo on the rear cover. As per my watch mechanic this is a military watch and the company would be "Admiral", but no results from Google shows about this watch.

Now comes my another addition an old Rado Diastar with steel and gold finish.

That is such a beautiful watch that I could not resist a bit of googling myself.

I have no idea on watches, but it looks a lot like
Wristwatches at P.Cyrlin & Co. Dealers

Apologies if its totally irrelevant. Its just that the watch looks so nice, that I got tempted to help.

Hey, no need to apologies but you are not the only one to think all the "side second watches" are same.

If you look at the watch I have posted it has a circular ring placed outside the second's hand circle. This is bit unique and also the number marking for 3, 9 and 12 and the larger inner ring forms like a rile scope view.

The term side second watch refers to all the old manual watches that had the second hand appeared in the bottom of the dial. Almost all the watch companies had their side second watches listed on their catalog during those time. As of today all the side second watches are considered collectibles.

I do have another side second watch from Roamer, I will post that picture tomorrow.

this Patek Philippe is a quintessential 1940's/ 1950's/ 1960's style.- you will see it in the old Second world war movies and in some classic Cary Grant films etc.
My old Omega Seamaster is very similar indeed.

well said GTO.
I endorse this completely. If you cant afford an original, then dont substitute it with a fake. Wait until you can afford the original - there is a different feeling entirely in wearing an original.
and your suggestion for an understated and elegant yet sporty 2000$ watch could include some of these;
1. Omega Seamaster
2. Breitling Colt
3. Tag Heuer Aquaracer

If its not too late, Omega. I'm a huge fan of their watches. Decent selection in your budget too. I feel the Speedmaster series will appeal to you. Not flashy at all.
