re: Emigrating to a Foreign Land!

Which country work permit/PR is relatively easier? I would want to keep it as a backup with the base location as India.
Example: Getting Singapore EP is pretty easy and quick if you have bagged a job there.
On the other hand US work permit (L1/H1 etc) are time consuming, tedious, uncertain.
Please share your thoughts on similar lines.

re: Emigrating to a Foreign Land!

Looks like the thread has become dull! Not many people emigrating ? People eager to work in India itself?

re: Emigrating to a Foreign Land!

Hi friends,

I am planning to move to Australia, by end of this year. I am from manufacturing background so its going to be a tough task to get a job in related field. It will be of great help if someone can help me for job search.

Also can someone guide me, with the formalities we need to complete prior to migration. I am specifically looking clarification regarding stuffs like power of attorney, MF investments, Credit Cards, Insurance etc.

Oh great.

My sis in law used to stay in Missisauga, (Stoneham Way to be precise) and have enjoyed there a lot. Good place to be. She has now moved to Brampton.

I will be visiting Toronto this year for my sons graduation and in case coming towards Missisauga will connect.

I have taken Australian PR and moved to Sydney in Feb 16. Got a job in two weeks and settling now. It is worth every penny so far.

Awesome. I am in Melbourne. Looks like we need a Tbhp meet in Canberra

Which IT field are you in? Java, .Net? Because that is the only way I know to get a job in 2 weeks I got my first one after 3 months.

Interesting. I came to Sydney in February as well and now working in Brisbane. You are the 3rd person (including myself) I know of, who has landed a job within a month. Guess February has been a good month

Are you planning to get a Driving License soon? I was told it's easier to get in QLD than in NSW. Need to figure that out.

Good luck.

I don't think there is any difference. Apart from your driving skills, it all boils down to your evaluator on that day . Luckily, I got mine in first attempt in Melbourne.

Thanks for the info. I was told NSW assessors fail many folks at first attempt just to boost revenue. It's just one of the theories floating around with no credibility perhaps.

re: Emigrating to a Foreign Land!

For people who migrated to australia, did you go via an agency or was all the work done by self?

I can see that my job is a part of the skilled occupation list, if that helps.

That's possible. I remember reading similar stories on Road Safety Cams having revenue targets in Melbourne area
