Unfortunately, every player in Australia falls under the fab list . So whom are you referring to? But it sad to see people like yourselves target just a section of players from India while NOTHING is being said about the dismissals/inconsistent performances of Gambhir, Robin, Dhoni, Rohit. I suggest you learn something from the way the Aussies play. Specially players like Haddin, Clarke, Symonds, Johnson. Inspite of failures from Gilchrist, Ponting they certainly are not playing like the Indian team is (dismal batting collapses). Nor are the Australian fans/board whining like we are. I think its about time the buck stops. But with people like you around I don't think it ever will .

Btw OZ's 1 & 3 put up 54 runs while India's fab 2 put up 43. Not that big a difference. I cannot say what Ganguly could have done compared to Hayden's innings so will refrain it. And before you revert back and say look at the number of ***** they wasted, I would say that was because of Gambhir & Uthappa's wickets. So thats the end there I hope.

All this petty quable about fab v/s non-fab is actually taking away the credit from the wonderful innings Yuvraj played & what India should look forward to correct if they are to go into the next match and win it.

If India's Fab don't match upto any of Australia's fab, why do you expect India's newbies to match Australia's newbies???

Note:
  1. Wonder why Yuvraj is missing in list of failures of Indian team
  2. What about the failure of Mr Wall?

I would say Indian team is not fully responsible for the defeat.
Important factor is toss: Win Toss, Bat First is the success mantra in most cases on Indian grounds (all across most grounds in the world). So hope India bat first in the next ODI.

The highlighted statement of yours shows your understanding of the game & how biased you are (expecting only one sect to play, while you can DIGEST the failures of the other). I expect the cricket team (comprising of 11 players, not just 2) representing our country to play well against all odds. Irrespective of who fails, I expect the rest to get their act together and do well like the Aussie youngsters have done. But its hard to make you understand that. So I will stop wasting my time arguing with you on this one.

Irfan Pathan has now lost two golden opprotunities to display his considerable talents with the bat. Fortunately for him, he is bowling well. I think Irfan has no clue of how to deal with Brad Hogg's googlies and chinamen (a chinaman is the lef arm bowler's leg spinner, i.e., off spin to right-hand batsman). Hope the selectors give him some time and let his all-round talents blossom. Rohit Sharma also has loads of talent and I am sure he will succeed sooner rather than later.

Firstly, with 7 batsmen in the team I don't think Irfan would have anticipated that he might have to play a major role in the match. Remember that your mindset into the game also weighs a lot. Irfan might have mentally prepared himself to show his skills with the ball & not the bat. Secondly, I am quite sure that most of the "batsmen" in our team would have seen the videos of Hogg & also experiences of playing against him in the past would have made them well aware of the situation.

Also, you must realize that even Yuvi didn't pick up the wrong-un and almost ended up getting out. Dhoni got beaten on a few too. The only way to pick up the ball is off the wrist (not possible in flight, reasons explained a little later). Like I mentioned earlier this is easier said than done specially if you are not a specialist batsmen.

In case of Bhajji the regular off spinner comes in with a straight seam position, while the doosra has a wobbly seam. While Hogg bowls both the chinamen & wrong-un with a wobbly seam. So its that much more difficult to pick, if you miss it out of the hand. Something that I am quite sure Irfan is not that good at. This is where the team coach, seniors should step in and teach him this technique.

Remember, half the battle is won if you are able to pick up the way a ball swings/spins from the wrist position of a bowler.

4 matches to go. We've reduced the margin of loss by about 50% in 2 matches, so do we get to win by Match 7 of the series?

C'mon India - wake up!

@ jokers in blue! Come on guys... the Aussies beat everyone. We are no different.. Right now it is about being the best of the rest with the Aussies as the clear favorites. One thing is for sure, if Team India is to make a match of this series every single match at least two stalwarts have to deliver sterling performances. As Yuvi's knock showed today one wont do.

BTW where the heck is RP Singh??

Time to bring in some humour on this thread!

I have never seen Flintoff laugh like this .

Another interesting one.

One more.

Perhaps the longest banter on a cricket field between two players. But what an end to it. Hats off.

Someone said Aussies don't sledge their own team mates?

Diabloo's dream come true. A cricket academy to teach sledging. Just search youtube, cant put up the link here.

Aussie Media doesn't like sledging either.

Sreesant at it again.

It's not Team India. It's the BCCI Club Team. And they're losers.

I perceive there are two trains of thought/posting on this thread. One discussing cricket, and one with mcl posting YouTube and cricinfo links.

There is 3rd train of thought. Boogle boy calling names and showing us his sense of humour. Unfortunately, this is not the Official Joke Thread.

I think it's pretty close. A whole bunch of people arguing over what is probably the least demanding sport in the world, in general, and a bunch of tax-dodging slobs in particular. Hilarious, if you ask me.

Notice, my name is not boogle (wherever you got that). It's v1p3r. As in viper, but dyslexically (no offence navin).
