I feel time for Irfan and Rohit to go out. They are contributing Zilch for the team.

+1 to that ..

I think the Mumbai lad Dhaval Kulkarni is an able replacement for Irfan in the NZ series. He has got pace, fire, accuracy and on top of that attitude. I guess, he has taken maximum wickets this domestic season. In place of Rohit Sharma I would love to see either Badrinath or Ajinkya Rahane. Rahane has been scoring truck load of runs in the domestic series. Has not seen him bat though. Badrinath was given very less chances so he deserves some more matches.

Rohit, no doubt is a talented batsman, but what is talent without execution !!! A guy like Jadeja comes and scores an unbeaten 60 on a turning pitch and see how Rohit gets out, a miscue over mid on .

Its not about we lost or win how much but how much a player deserves to be in a team on merit. Indian colors are not for granted.

Sam,

If that's the criteria then Yuvi would have never played more than 30 matches for India. It took a long time for a talent like him to get consistent. Let's give Rohit some more time before we jump on him.

Yuvi proved himself time and again in the first few matches he played... Remember Allan Donald getting hit for 3 solid boundaries in the same over !!!! Thats the 2nd match he played ( he batted for the 2nd time may be 3rd match for him) First match I guess he scored a 80 ball 82 and yes dont forget Natwest trophy final, at that time he was very new to the international arena. Coupled with splendid fielding he was a great asset in the indian batting order which literally had no bench strength.

At the end of the day every player is special in their own ways.

See I have no problems in Rohit given chances, but are we fair to guys like Badrinath and others like Rahane, Pujara and Abhishek Nayaar who are knocking the doors of the selection pannel for sometime now. Now 30 odd matches and a solitary innings in Australia is way too less. I rate the Badri innings in SL more than that as the conditions were much more difficult in SL. I have a problem with the way he is getting out, dont you think he should have been a bit more sedate and played around Dhoni for a while and have scored some valuable runs ?

Thats the same view i am endorsing Sam. Its not that he is not contributing but i dint see the right attitude to contribute. The shots he is playing are like 'Ok so what if i get out on a rash shot am there in the team anyways for the whole series'. Now thats a disastrous approach by a newcome imo.
And yes Badrinath deserves more chances after that SL innings but probably he doesnt have any jack like Rohit in the team.

Just meant he must have a Jack to stay in team inspite of non performing.
BTW today he has failed again!

This idiot Rohit Sharma almost lost us the match had he stayed there for a little while more. 4 runs in 11 balls. Good for nothing bugger!
I hope they don't take Rohit "Jack boy" Sharma to NZ!

Am sure he will be along. When T-20 world cup ended i remember reading reports he and Dhoni are quiet good friends so maybe its the 'Dhoni' approach!
