Anyone seen ICC rating for all time best players in both batting and bowling? Pathetic!

Only Sachin an automatic selection in team: Ganguly

Is Dada praising Sachin or mocking him?
Quote:
With the exception of Sachin Tendulkar, every Indian cricketer will have to be ready to get dropped from the team, Sourav Ganguly said on Sunday.

"This holds true for everyone with the only exception being Sachin Tendulkar... getting dropped and picked is a part and parcel in everyone's life," Ganguly said at a felicitation hosted by his home association CAB
.
Looks like Dada & Dalmiya have patched up. Just couple of years back Ganguly accused Dalmiya of playing with his career
Quote:
He praised CAB chief Jagmohan Dalmiya who "has also been a huge support to me".

Totally OT:

Anybody (else) watched "Great Centuries: Zaheer Abbas - 274 & 240" on Ten Sports last evening?

Yup as Eddy mentioned he had some thigh injury . I think Yuvi played Mendis quite well today. SL still relying too much on Jayasuriya. Doesnt seem like he wants to retire!

Being the first match of the series dont you guys think it would have been wise to allow Jadeja instead of Rohit Sharma in the playing XI and see how the guy does. I agree 2 left arm speaners will introduce a bit of redundancy but that chap is a fighter while batting and can smash the ball hard which we all saw in the IPL and in the U19 world cup. In many matches in Sri Lanka games are lost after having runs in the begining overs due a middle order collapse. In those situations this guy will be handy and he can play an innings just like that of Badrinath in the last ODI series in Sri Lanka.

I think Rohit had enough opputunities and had delivered very little and this is the time to give chances to others too.

You are right Sam however i think Jadeja will be given opportunity in last 2 Odi's when Dhoni is assured of series win.

Seems like SA will take the throne of one day ranking. Aussie era seems to be over. Finally!

Mods, can we have India vs SL poll now?
