The amazon pay GV balance cannot be used to recharge this any more. This is the exact problem I ran into and in the process of closing my fastag that I got 3 days back.

But the regular ICICI-only Fastag can be recharged with Amazon Pay GV Balance on the eToll app.
For #3 - Buy Amazon Pay GV using credit cards and load in your amazon account. Thats it! Fastag is recharged. If you have right set of credit cards, you can get Amazon Pay GVs at discount or higher card rewards

Why do you want to recharge fastag via APAy GV if you can load Apay GV directly to the account?

Again - This is false for the new ICICI amazon fastags. I got one 3 days back and found out the hard way.

Currently Amazon pay shows two "buckets".

Gift cards bucket - This balance can be loaded by GV vouchers. But this CANNOT be used for ICICI amazon pay fastag balance or reload.

Wallet bucket - This balance can be loaded from netbanking or card or UPI. This CAN be used for ICICI amazon pay fastag balance.

Very confusing I know. But this is CONFIRMED.

I think this is where you are getting confused. Please do following steps:

1. Do not try to recharge
2. Make your Amazon Pay UPI wallet balance zero by transferring money out via UPI
3. Load Amazon account using Apay GV purchased via cc - and now directly cross the toll plaza. you will see toll deduction from GV bucket

P.S: I have version #2 and my friend has version #3. Hence talking about it

Above method works only for #3 and not for #2

Please see the screenshots attached. The new fastags show the message - "Your fastag is linked to the amazon pay wallet account". Trust me, I so wanted it to be the way you describe it.

You have version #2 as explained in my previous post.

He has version #3, where amazon GV balance or wallet UPI balance acts as fastag wallet (depending on which is available). He needs to load GV balance and deductions will happen from GV balance directly

Actually no. Mine was purchased this week from amazon website. It cannot be recharged from ICICI website or eToll app. The only way is to use the amazon pay wallet.

The other version - You can buy from pure ICICI fastag from ICICI website. This can be reloaded similar to any fastag.

There is no other ICICI ones available for sale.

Naetik30, why don't you do as SourPai says? Just remove all money from wallet and keep the gift card balance. Try to go to a fuel bunk and fill and see if the bunk operator can use the Fastag+OTP for payment that gets deducted from GC balance.

Tried and failed. .

All amazon help pages say that it is linked to amazon pay balance. This is true. The part not mentioned is that it is linked to the amazon pay wallet balance. This is true for newly purchased fastags.

Also called up amazon customer care to confirm.

Also checked to recharge on eToll app and failed.

More from the amazon Help pages -

Quote:

17. Can I purchase more than one Amazon Pay ICICI Bank FASTag and link it to one single Amazon Pay Wallet account?

At the moment, Amazon Pay does not allow this feature. You can only purchase one FASTag per Amazon Pay Wallet account.

22. Are fuel payments supported via the Amazon Pay ICICI Bank FASTag?

At the moment, we do not support fuel payments via the Amazon Pay ICICI Bank FASTag.

26. How can I recharge my Amazon Pay ICICI Bank FASTag?

In order to recharge your Amazon Pay ICICI Bank FASTag, you just need to add money to your Amazon Pay Balance, since the FASTag will be using your Amazon Pay Balance to pay all the FASTag charges.

In order to add money to Amazon pay balance:

a) Open your Amazon app

b) Click on the ‘Amazon Pay’ icon

c) Click on the ‘Amazon Pay Balance’ section at the top

d) Click on ‘Add money to wallet’

e) Follow the on-screen instructions to add money to your balance

For the older version of the Amazon Pay ICICI FASTag (refer questions 16 and 17 for this distinction), you can recharge your FASTag on Amazon Pay by clicking on 'Recharge FASTag' on the FASTag landing page of Amazon Pay.

The option to recharge fastag is now available in the amazon phone app without any convenience fees.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

Anyone here knows about the HDFC bizpower credit card? My wife has been using a business regalia for about 3 years and she has received an upgrade offer to this card. Is it better compared to regalia?

HDFC BizBlack Metal or Diners Black Metal is much better if her Business Regalia has more than 5 Lacs Credit Limit. These cards wont come as Automated Upgrades so easily.

I got an automated offer to upgrade to BizBlack from Business Regalia LTF but:

1. It's not LTF (10K annual charges).
2. It's BizBlack and not BizBlack Metal (what are the difference other than material used?).

BizBlack is in Metal Form factor only. So its the same card.

Yes. Its not LTF but well rewarding if there are Income Tax, GST, TDS Payments etc every month.

If she doesnt have those spends, then dont upgrade to any of the Biz cards.
