Does the Tata Neu Infinity fit this? Any experience with the points.

I only have a lifetime free SBI Elite card that works nicely, but I cannot add it to my UPI as it is a visa card.

thank you
The Tata Neu Infinity Rupay CC should fit the bill for you. It is a Rupay CC that you can add on your favourite UPI app and there is decent cashback in the form of Neu Coins (1 coin = 1Rs). More details here: https://www.hdfcbank.com/personal/pa...nk-credit-card

Anyhow - point taken - centurion is for people with a certain lifestyle (which I am not a part of) and has very little benefits otherwise. But on the flip side - it gives absolutely zero worries about available limits and most definitely helps in making your life a little bit more convenient. Other than that - the platinum charge card works almost as good.

Well you can get a charge card, which in theory has no limits. I have AMEX charge card for more than 20 years and have never faced any issues with limits. In fact you can enhance your spending limit especially for hotels and tickets by discussing with AMEX help line. They will also let you know the limits on various kinds of expenses.

As a last resort if there is a possibility of exceeding your spending limits, you can prepay an amount. This works with most cards. (better check with their help line).

Re: The Credit Card Thread

Got massively irritated yesterday by SBI's doltish customer service and ever-suspicious approach (to even reasonably high spenders), and severed my credit card relationship by closing my 3 credit cards. Was ironically cheered by the online closure request process though. Do other banks do the same?

Got a callback today and confirmed all 3 closures. Can still log into my SBI Card account but says no active cards.

Got this "no-dues' email too immediately on my email:

I have experienced their terrible support too and decided to close the account. Even if you mail the nodal office, it will 3 days for them to reply, and that too with a copy-pasted statement. Every time I reached out, there was a copy-pasted generic reply and without any resolution. After SBI I think AXIS comes close to 2nd in crappy customer support.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

Has anyone noticed that Amazon is no lonnger letting us use Amex if we are purchasing Amazon e-gift card? I have been buying Amazon gift cards on Gyftr but it has a limit of ₹10k per month, so when I am still short to reach ₹20k, I buy them from Amazon itself, but now it is no longer possible. It looks like Amex worked with Amazon to make it harder to reach spend targets.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

How does an add-on card work? Will it share the same limit as the primary card and also add towards towards spend goals?

Yes, it has same limit as primary card. Spends on it also counts towards primary card spend goals. Everything is rolled up under Primary card.

Yes. Limit is shared across. So lets say, you have 5 lakh limit, primary card outstanding is 3 lakh, you can max use the add on for the remaining 2 lakh only.
Same with milestones too.

Amex does not charge for fuel purchases but only at HPCL for transactions under 5K. They won't even add surcharge in the first place, unlike other cards that add them and reverse it afterwards (excluding GST).

Not all HPCL stations have POS machines that accept Amex (AFAIK, only ICICI & Pine Labs machines work with Amex).

0% Convenience fee on fuel purchase at HPCL for transactions less than Rs. 5,000 and 1% Convenience fee on fuel purchases per transaction is applicable for all transactions of Rs. 5,000 and above

Add-ons are literally just that, an add-on card to the primary account. Shares all benefits and privileges, even the monthly statement (depending on the issuer, the statement might have separate itemized transactions for the primary and add-on card, for your convenience).

If/when getting an add-on card, please ensure the phone number tagged to it is the actual add-on user's, NOT the primary card holder's. Critical to get OTPs and other relevant messages directly without having to contact the primary card holder each time.

Some banks make it easier than others nowadays, but it's still not seamless across the board.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

Hey Guys,

I have been facing an issue with my Axis Magnus CC for the last 5-6 days. The payment fails as soon as I enter the card details and I don't even reach the OTP page but it works fine for some websites even when the gateway is the same (Razorpay for example). I spoke to Axis customer care and they said, everything is fine as per them and the card should be working fine. They're saying since the OTP is also not getting triggered, the issue is not with the card and they can't rectify it as it doesn't show as a failed payment on their system.
Has anyone else faced a similar issue? I'm thinking of just blocking the card and getting a new one issued. What do you suggest ?
