1. LTF is done for most people.
2. Till recently they were giving Rs. 1500 Amazon voucher if you sign up without any agent help.
3. This is something new that I didn't come across. I am tortured to get this card for the last few months.

They have 4 points per Rs.100 spent but redemption is at Rs. 0.5 per point. Applicable for all spends but there are some caps applicable. I am not sure whether they moved to cashback now. If it is 5% unlimited direct cashback applicable to all spends, it will be really good. But it is too good to be true.

Check with your RM if you can get the Infinia.

Quote:
1. No joining fee plus lifetime free (annual fees waived for life)
2. Amazon vouchers worth Rs.2500
Check if there's a spend criteria (spend Rs. xx within yy days)

3. 5% unlimited cashback on spends
This will be on specific spends, not every transaction on the card.

1. This is offered to some basis relationship.
2 & 3. Ensure you get the offer in writing with the T&C's applicable.

Sadly, Amex Gyftr multiplier is not live since a long time now.
You can buy 5000 worth Amazon GV from SmartBuy using HDFC Regalia.
Rest, you will have to go for direct Amex Platinum Travel spend.

Do check if the premium amount is reflecting on Amazon as I heard that the insurance payment of below 25k is possible.

I think the person informing you is misinformed.
There is no 5% unlimited cashback on Regalia.
Maybe he is referring to Payzapp, but it is not a Regalia feature and Payzapp has been declawed and made tame with puny cashbacks.
Also, the SmartBuy feature gives 5X points, and not cashback.

1 is conditional for me - I need to reach some x0k purchases in a year (easily managed).
2. Varies. I remember getting some coupons 3 years ago, my wife recently got nothing
3. Nopes. Only card that I am aware of offering this is the Amazon ICICI card for purchases on amazon.

The key benefit I find useful in this card is lounge access at airports.

It's 4 points per Rs 150, isn't it?

I don't think there is a capping on premium payment from Amazon pay balance. I had paid premium of 28.5k from Amazon pay balance in Apr this year.

The only limitation is that you can't use this route for renewing health insurance since the policy number changes every year and you can't pay premium using previous policy no

You are right. It is for Rs. 150. And the redemption value also changes depending on smartbuy hotel or voucher or cash.

On the initial offers, it seems there is a activation offer available based on spend.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

I can personally vouch for the fact that the Infinia Golf Program is simply superb. Ive been on this Infinia Metal for quite a while now. And I use it as my primary spend mechanism. I only keep one other card (SBI Octane) as a back up and that is used for fuel and nothing else.
Ive been playing golf almost every single week using the Infinia’s unlimited golf benefit.
All that is needed is reasonable planning, say 5-6 days ahead of the proposed round and this is not at all difficult if you are a part of a regular group of keen golfers.

It is not just SmartBuy.
Amazon is cutting its ties with Amex Reward Multiplier, Axis Grabdeals, etc. as it consolidates the Affiliate Relationship with banks.

In december Smartbuy allowed 0.75rs points conversion to amazon pay balance.

I think that was the best deal they offered and people who redeemed during that time got a good deal.

Now with amazon cutting ties 5X rewards are severely limited for non frequent flight travellers.

Is there any other super rewards card I should consider now?

You should try Standard Chartered's Ultimate credit card.
Same base reward rates as Infinia and Diners Club Black (3.3%).
The redemption options are Gift Vouchers / cards and thus, perfect for non-frequent flight travellers.

On a side note, you can redeem your existing HDFC points for hotel bookings too.
