Re: Take a look at this number plate!

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think it is possible to have a vehicle registered using the old series MD if the vehicle having that number earlier is condemned to the scrap heap, and is owned by the same person . He can request the RTO for the same registration number. At least this was possible earlier.

Re: Take a look at this number plate!

Another number plate from Mumbai. The number reads as "liquor" in Marathi language. Pronounced as "daa-ru".

It is already at ND? I thought it was NB now since my car is mid NA and that was little over 4 months back. Probably the owner has chosen this number and series by paying for it.

I checked the RTO app and this number is registered to a Santro. Also not sure if KA RTO's allow using old numbers for new vehicles.

Re: Take a look at this number plate!

If so, then this appears to be a genuine mistake.

If the number is already allotted, he cannot get the same registration number even after paying the charges.

This biker seems to still be in the early 2000's when the foreground and background were changed.

I guess one can say "I can see clearly now" when one has "double vision"!

Re: Take a look at this number plate!

We have seen number plates where there is no number or no number plate. This one takes it to the next level. It has a "NO" number plate!

If I remember correctly, the Tempo Traveller was launched prior to 1990 (1988?). It was in 1990 that we moved from the "XXX 0000" style registration numbers to the current one.
Maybe this Tempo Traveller has been lovingly maintained for close to 30 years?
