State BJP has issued a statement asking everyone, including BMTC, auto unions, private transport, schools, offices to co-operate. My guess is that there might be tacit support from state govt as well. May not be a wise thing to take the car out.

The authorities soon realized that unless the barricade height was made comparable to the height of the footbridge itself, Indians would prefer to climb the barricade than the footbridge. But that was impractical. So, they devised an incentive plan - Indians are extremely sensitive to incentives, everyone knows it ! What they did is that they added sharp metallic edges on top of the barricade so that it would become difficult to climb the barricade without being hurt. Now, there is a clear incentive to use the footbridge - if you want to cross the road without getting a puncture in your A**, use the footbridge. Otherwise, please take the short-cut. Soon, more and more Indians switched to the footbridge as one puncture per crossing is too high a cost for the effort saved. This model is now deployed elsewhere too - I just noticed it near KR Puram flyover.
Very funny, but absolutely true.

Dent due to autorick near Thippasandra

Today traffic was as normal. Usual driving slow fast between signals.
Nearing the Thippasandra shortcut to Bagmane tech park. Took long left with sufficient gap becos rick was standing with customer. Suddenly, hear a thud on read door. Damn. .
Rick made a dent on my rear door. about 12 inches horizontal line. Argued with rick guy. Took him to Smart cars and they estimated 3000 bucks.
Now, the rick guy starts pleading and saying all sorts of personal issues. Saying he cannot give 3k for the dent.

There was no point in arguing again and left.
Just called regular service center. They said to claim Insurance.

Now my question:
Along with today's dent, there is also one more dent happened 6months back by a biker. Not done any thing on that.

With this, can i claim insurance for both today's dent and 6months old dent?

Please suggest.

Depends on whether the insurance valuator would be able to make out the age of the old dent and how you can convince that it happened in a single event. I still remember Maruti insurance denying claims for rear door on bothsides for my friend's M800 telling no way a dent can be simultaneously on both sides and it is always a driver's fault whereas it was a genuine case where my poor friend's car was stuck between 2 KSRTC buses near Baptist Hospital on Bellary Rd on that fateful day which brought Bangalore to a halt. Yes, the Deve Gowda JD(S)rally on Palace grounds!! I wish you good luck with the claims man :-).

Depends on the locations of the dents. If both are in the same area, the insurance surveyor might be convinced.

If you can post some PICs, we would have a better idea.
